It happened in April, 2016, I believe.  I posted about it in Totally OT on 4/14.  I didn't share a link but I believe I read it in the Democrat & Chronicle at the time.

Clinton Square is the building in front of Tower 280(Midtown) and the building being renovated on the left is the Alliance building. 

Thanks MAK! I thought it was Clinton Square but there was some discussion a few years ago if that was correct and I couldn't remember what the final conclusion was!

One more revision.  Chase Tower is now called The Metropolitan (I know, gag me).

Beauty left the nest for a moment, but was back immediately. I think this image is priceless:

I thought of that too, Donna.  The herons hang out around there, as well as gulls, ducks and this year's turtle.  It doesn't look like there's anything around it, though, so here's hoping everyone's safe.

While we were on the Court St Bridge this morning, we were watching them work on the Broad Street Bridge. They had heavy equipment on the east end of the bridge with lots of loud banging. I kept saying I wouldn't want to be in the subway bed. Yikes!

Apparently it happened sometime between 8 AM and 9 AM, probably not too long after you were watching. 

I beat you to the scoop by 14 seconds, Shaky.  

An 80 foot section of the sidewalk on the northeast side of the Broad Street Bridge collapsed today, while the bridge is under construction.  A 20 foot section plunged into the river, while the other 60 feet hangs being supported by reinforcing bars.  I've crossed that bridge on foot thousands of times in the past 13 years.  Way to feed my bridge phobia, guys!

Thanks, all.  My birthday was rather subdued this year, due to the fact that I had to put  one of my two cats to sleep on Thursday, just two days before my birthday. Next year will be better, I'm sure.

Just happened to catch them at the nest, Dumpsterkitty. Was hoping to see one or more of the juvies, but haven't seen a single juvie all day.

All this bonding at the Powers nestbox makes me think that Beauty and Dot.ca's relationship has perhaps been stronger in the past couple of years than we realized.  I know that Cadence was the first one that the watchers saw fly to Powers, but they weren't being watched all the time, so who knows? 

Good catch! Looks like Aria and Leo continue to hang out with each other. Wonder where Matilda and Lilac are?

I don't think they've been seen since the storm a few days ago.. hope they're OK.

We didn't get the storm badly downtown.  A fair amount of rain but not much else.  I've seen a lot worse.  I'm sure they're fine and have just expanded their horizons a bit.
