Marlene has been away visiting her son so I didn't get updates on the last 2 eggs but CPF posted last night.

Aria laid her 4th egg April 8th. Could be a busy season for the watchers.

Wilma and her mate Fred are incubating 4 eggs now.  Sorry meant to update last week

Peregrine Falcons Southeast Michigan
 
Update: Whittier Apartments, Detroit ? Local volunteer, Thyme Warner was able to identify both Peregrine Falcons yesterday. She confirmed that it is the same pair as last year. The male is Fryer (black/blue, 43/C) who hatched in Flint in 2016. The female is Sandy (black, Y/97) who hatched in Ontario at the Toronto Sheraton in 2015. Good job, Thyme!

Egg #2 for Aria and Equinox

Received an email this afternoon from Marlene to announce the arrival of Aria and Equinox's first egg.  No photos yet, will share if I get any.

Warren, MI:  The Warren watchers have named 64/K = Wilma and her unbanded mate = Fred.  Wilma just laid her 2nd egg a few minutes ago.

They do have a web cam and a FB page if anyone is interested .

Say hello to another M&K descendant, hanging out at the Warren, MI nest site:  Hatched at the Detroit Zoo to Linn's daughter Velcro in 2021.  Banded as female Blk/Blu 64/K and not named.  What a beauty

A few weeks ago it was reported that a new male was courting Aria and Indy was MIA.  Sadly CPF has posted that his body has been found in Mississauga.  Indy (or Indie) was named by watchers up here to honor his birth home as he was not named at banding.  He was born in 2013 in Gary, Indiana.  Fly high Indy, you were a good mate to Aria and a great dad to your offspring.

The new male is Equinox, a 2014 hatch from our Canada Square site.

Just got an update from Marlene.  The kids are all doing well and flying high now.  Mom and dad are teaching them to hunt.  Here is a nice collage of the them I wanted to share that she sent me.

Aria and Indie's chick Noah (C/20 - banded in 2021) was seen at the Port Stanley Lagoons in March. Great to see he survived the first Migration. He reminds me of DC in looks so far

As far as I know it's still Simcoe but they didn't say this time - they just posted the kids photos/names and the pictures of Alfrieda with her band visible. 

Banding at Lakeridge Hospital in Ottawa - home of Diamante's daughter Alfrieda (confirmed again by photos that show her band):
