I am home now. Aria is still on the ledge, she is on high alert as you can imagine. Lucky went to go hunting about 4.30 pm but up until then the two of them didn't move or vocalize at all.
Someone did PM me on Facebook to let me know that someone posted on BCAW and CPF website a photo of Aria with blood on her...so in case you see it please don't be upset, we did not see any blood on Aria whatsoever and we had Lucie's 'big as my thigh zoom' lens so we got a good look at her. It might have been from a meal, perhaps she tried to eat when we didn't see her those few times and couldn't comfortably due to the presence of the intruder. She was flying well and no visible injuries. I did see the other female try to have a go at her that time I posted but no contact was made. Aria evaded and Lucky was right in there to move her off and take her flying any time she tried. We did see Aria try to go after her a few times but she was quite hesitant about making contact and spent most of her time on the ledge crying.
I won't lie to you - this other female is big, yes she's larger than Aria and Lucky. I expect she intimidated Aria quite well. She was bold and brazen and parked herself on the roof top like she owned the place.
I will do my best to get to the site tomorrow after my mom's appointment as I expect this female will be back.

Boy is it cold outside, my hands are frozen but as you can see Aria is back on ledge..phew! When I got outside after my last post...no one was in sight which freaked me out. I waited, waited...Lucie came back so both of us were running up and down the lane way looking for them and suddenly Aria flew in very quietly and landed on the ledge. Then she started flying around above the nest ledge, very quietly and no urgency to her flight. Lucky came in from the South and he's now on the Flipp sign above the nest ledge and both are quiet.
I don't know what happened between the time I posted and got downstairs...but I must have missed something. Could be the other female went to get food and is taking a break ... but so far it's quiet right now.
Tomorrow morning, I won't be on site - I have to take my mom to an eye specialist aptmt as she's having and issue with the lens they put in her eye when took out the cataract and I was going to work from home but I think I will come into the office now given the situation.
Lucie and I will stay until it gets dark tonight in case that female comes back. I will keep you posted.

The other female is taking runs at Aria when she flies out. Aria flew to the front ledge and then to one two ledges over and both times the female tried to engage her. Lucky is helping I think...he diverted the female away from Aria. I'm going to send a note to my boss...no one else is here and this is starting to escalate. Going to book the rest of the afternoon off but I'll come in and update when I can.

Just went out quickly. Lucie still not back. Aria is on the ledge crying. Lucky and Female flying around together and riding the thermals. Ii don't know if she knows what to do and that's why she is crying or she is afraid to take her on. OC or whomever is big so that may be why and she's comfortable here. When I went out, Lucky flew off the cam and she (other female) flew off the roof to join him.
Aria is watching them flying together now... I don't know if he's flying with her cause he knows her or try and keep her diverted from coming and hurting Aria.

Back...3 falcons on site confirmed. The other female knows this territory inside and out, Lucky and her are flying around together on and off. Aria took a dive on her once but otherwise is avoiding engaging, she is very upset and vocalizing alot. The other female is doing lazy donuts around the buildings and territory and landing in and out of ledges.
Lucie on site but her battery died on her cam and she's running home to get another. My heart is breaking for Aria. I am sorry I posted it here the way I did but I couldn't find anyone, I'm at work and I wanted help to keep an eye on the cam.

Right after this I went outside to see how Aria did trying to land on cam (as she's never been on there)and I saw 3 in the air engaged and one was the size of OC and she came off the building from the top - I know her quite well and I'd bet my life she is back and the cam was her perch...whether she was on there and Atria went up there after her I don't know but she's never shown interest in that perch as of yet. Aria and Lucky and she were all in the air and pursued 'big female' down the street. I ran after my heart out by they fly faster. Aria and Lucky back now...lots of vocalizations between them but mostly Aria is upset. I'm going back out - taking an early lunch, this might explain all the bonding this morning.

I would say that is Lucky in that last photo.
Thanks, Carly. I thought it was Lucky, but thought it would be good to have a second opinion. On October 6, one day after Aria's arrival, did you happen to see the remains of a bird on the ledge, in the corner behind the nest tray? It was hard to tell what kind of bird, but something seemed strange at the time. Yes I saw that and wondered about it as well. I've seen OC bring food there but only when there are kids on the ledge. At the time I attributed it to the fact that the workers were on the buildings and she wanted to keep her food close but I admit that was what really alerted me to a possible change. I was telling myself one thing but doubting it at the same time. When I saw the speckles though, it was hard not to realize a change had happened but I tried to reason that out as well but I was leaning towards Ivy then. Really it was once I saw her fly and dive - I knew then whose kids she was, just didn't know which girl. In fact I looked up the kids band numbers from last year and handed them to Lucie when she came with her scope...I knew it was one of DC and B's kids in my gut.
