I left for a few minutes and I think she's got them all together again... confused..well maybe not but close enough...two eggs sticking out on the right but that's ok.

And now she went to snuggle by the wall with baby..still staring at eggs from there periodically...baby looks strange standing there with his head straight up.  surprise

Baby is up against the wall again - he's so big I think it's more comfortable to lean against the wall as there isn't much room under mom or dad anymore.  Cadence on duty..what will she do..she's looking at the baby and then back at the eggs and how to reconcile the two.  Now she's thinking...thinking... Sherlock Holmes

...and she's found a middle ground.  Eggs in front of her near her breast and her tail end is covering baby by the wall  paperbag

New post on FB - looks like they will be banding the baby:

Union County Falcon Cam

It has certainly been a rough season for the peregrine falcons at the Union County nest - one of the two hatched eyas did die earlier in the week. It's unlikely the third egg from 91/BA will hatch if it does not do so by this weekend. From CWF Habitat Program Manager Ben Wurst, "before the young even fledge, they need the perfect recipe to survive and thrive. This cool, wet spring has been tough on many long time successful nests along the coast of New Jersey, who are the backbone for the state population."

At the moment, one eyas remains and CWF plans to band the chick by the end of June.

From Twitter...

Update on Seabreeze, he broke 4 tail feathers and broke some blood feathers. So far so good! He's a lucky Falcon.

Lucky Donna noticed him missing and Carol found him Sad

Baby got upright finally and dad moved him over to those eggs...  crazy

Dad knocked baby on his baby and is trying to brood him..baby is struggling to turn over. He kept trying to pull the baby over to the eggs and knocked him over instead..baby still struggling.

The article say he is missing some tail feathers?  How is that possible?

True that Donna.  Mind you the way that ledge is, i might just open the door a crack and put him out there on the ground by the door quickly.   Then he can run up the ramp to home.  Might be worth risking, could do it later in the evening after they've settled then the kids won't have a visual of the door and by the time they got up and out on deck - the door would be closed and no human in sight.

Be interesting to see where they release him.  If they go to the nest ledge area now, it's too risky.  The other kids might panic and then you'll have 3 more on the ground.
Been wondering that myself Carly!  wave
