Looks like Cady may be dealing with an intruder, gone again for hours this morning and Carolyn has a photo of what could be a falcon shadow overhead and then Cady took off after it.  

Still not much food coming in for the kids...by Mr Mom.

Today’s banding went very well and as always a great group of people turned out to meet there peregrine family.

It turns out that there are 4 boys this year all in great health. The adults were busy fending off the intruders on the swing stage during the banding and at one point O’Connor decided to just have a snack and wait for volunteer Kathy to give the chicks back see picture. Christine from property manage had sent out to all tenants a request for names for this offspring and had some wonderful submissions. A draw was done to select the names thanks so much to everyone who sent in the names and who came to watch the banding.

Here is the information on this years brood and bands. colored tape was placed on the Silver band to help the fledge watch team keep track of and identify each chick from street level.

Although we thought we say 3 chicks in the beginning there were only 2 this year. Both chicks were healthy males. Lots of boys this year.

We named one of the boys Zoe after a long time CPF volunteer fledge watch member who as passed away Fly strong Zoe.   The other boy is being named by the hotel staff and we are waiting on their submission.

Once again thanks to the folks at Harlequin and Our Climber John Miller we were able to band 4 healthy chicks 3 boys and 1 girl.

Male named Ndawendang (Hunter) named by Toronto First Nation School band Y 40 yellow tape
Male named Archimedes band Y 41 Green tape.

5.45 am - Cady is in with a small bird not prepared, so she's plucking it in the igloo and feeding the kids as she goes.  Still 2 babies.

Not yet, I expect later tonight or tomorrow the info should be up though.  Here is RM with her babies tonight, we can see them now!  No more hiding
