5.43 am - All quiet this morning. Cadence was sound asleep when I logged on and now she's laying quietly on the eggs. She's up now pebble picking, all eggs in tact As she moved now, I saw what could be a hole in an egg but if that's the same egg we think is pipped - it's been 2 days...

The pipped egg is Cady's I think...though in this light both are dark ...I'm looking at Beth's photo on bCAW and in this light both the front ones are dark but my gut says it's Cady's egg..we'll see.
I thought it was way past the window for the former female's eggs to hatch? It is but everyone kept an open mind given what happened at the Gulf when Dori first took over. At that time everyone said 'no way those eggs will hatch' and then they did..lol.

From their FB page:
Great Spirit Bluff Peregrine Falcons
As viewers have seen, of our two remaining eyasses at GSB, both have gone out of their nest box again this morning. One has fallen, and we suspect that the parents are trying to locate and care for it as we have seen in the past. The other eyass has escaped a couple of times also and in a remarkable display we have seen Michelle turn into super mom mode, pulling on the chick's wing and leg to pull it back in to safety.
RRP had planned for scheduled banding today and we have a few members of our team on site and others arriving as this is posted. We will keep you informed as more information is received, and would like you all to keep good thoughts for our climbing team and the young eyasses.
Raptor Resource Project is considering all options for the remaining eyases at Great Spirit Bluff now that one has jumped from the box. Our permits do not allow us to preemptively collect young birds from nests; as watchers know, birds face and overcome many dangers in their lives and we simply can't protect them from everything. We have located a potential foster box and are weighing treating the current box over attempting relocation, which comes with its own set of dangers and challenges. We will keep everyone posted. Thank you!

Ok she's' shuffling the eggs now, that's new...it's warm there.
1.36 pm and Cadence just took off like a bat out of hell, I thought she bent her wing in half she turned so fast. Could be she heard dad and wanted out due to the heat as she was panting and he's in for his shift.

Could be Joyce, I did wonder at that and dad did the same thing too but when she just left them alone after that I thought nah...I should be more optimistic I know ps: Jersey City is on track for a hatch possibly today - can hear the chick from inside the egg loud and clear this morning!

Cadence kept standing up and preening, she'd look at the eggs a bit, preen some more and she left a few minutes ago. Dad came in and now he's on the porch vocalizing...something going on they don't like. He's looking up..and back in he goes.
