Lansing Michigan Peregrine Falcons 11 mins ยท
Welcome! ... Tornado!!! Another twist in Lansing at our nest. Tornado has asked Eckert to leave , we have not seen him since last week Friday. As for the family tree, Tornado is Eckert's brother, a year younger, he fledged also from the BC Cobb Power Plant in Muskegon in 2010. (Eckert was 2009). This photo collage shows mating for this pair. Ella and Tornado. eggs soon?! stay tuned ...

IMHO, Cadence's very dark, round head and auricular patch resemble that of her great great grandmother, Madame X. I know it's a stretch, but compare the attached pic of Madame X with the pic of Cadence from yesterday at the igloo.
I see what you mean!

She is gorgeous indeed! Great shot Donna, you can even see she got Beauty's salmon coloring on her chest 8.24 am and dad is back again. He's so devoted to those eggs and I'm sure he's a bit confused this morning.

6.17 am and just saw someone land in distance...could see wing on cam 2 but behind that box past igloo so can't see who it is. She went into the nest box...it's Cadence! She bowed to male, he to her and then he took off. She looked down at eggs and has now left box and hopped down ledge! Have to log now and get ready for work

Well I hope Cadence has better luck now that she's here - sad about the previous female before mom as well. I didn't see Cadence come back but she may have come round the other way and be somewhere high up on guard keeping watch. Hopefully she gets some rest as she'll have to deal with dad tomorrow. Maybe by then we'll hear news of moms rescue.
I'm for bed, talons crossed the night is peaceful.

I don't think you're a baby,it's human nature to want to help and to not want to see harm come to any species.
I don't like the fights but I watch some of them because I want to learn more and I do accept that it's the way it is with them. What I couldn't handle was watching that Pitt female kill and eat her babies - that too me was too much and not normal - I don't care what anyone says. Those babies spent hours pecking through the shell to the point of exhaustion only to be eliminated by her, their own mother!.
Adult females when they fight - have choice, they are old enough to chose their destiny and have the ability to also fly away if it gets to much and they change their minds, a little baby doesn't.
