She took off, god I hope this over and mom can get help and we can stop the battling.

Its Cadence!!!  Cam 3 now on her!!  Mama must have fallen to her.  I hope they find the mom

Darn it they pulled the cam back.  Took a dinner break, something must have happened.  She's perched on corner of building.

Egg 3 has arrived.  Peregrine Place just posted the news with photo! 

I..oh and mom and intruder in chase.  Male preening while mom battles for her life and mom back with intruder right on her tail.   

Mom is at nest while male is flying with intruder.

I wonder if he knows her?  Might explain the determination over so many weeks.  Lots of places nearby for a singleton falcon to spend the off season.

Meant to post this on Monday but wanted to wait until I saw something from Dina.  On Friday night Eckert was behaving the same way as Union City mom and by nightfall it was evident he was under attack.  No idea how long but the fact that egg laying was delayed might have been for awhile.  Same technique as Union City , swooping and aerial attacks and poor Eckert hiding in the box.  

On Monday a new male entered the nest box.  He's also a Michigan pefa, 6 years old named Tornado.

Woohoo!  I knew something was up, just got home to this happy news!  Yay!! 

The 'intruding female' is the faster one, she's one a mission it seems.  I saw her slam and/or smack mom a few times.  I can see why she tries to lure mom into the air, she's superior in the air.  And I see why mom retreats to the igloo ..woah did you see that????  She just smacked mom in the talons..mom flipped up ..oh my god!  I think mom was trying to catch her maybe??

It's pretty intense right now, both in air. 

That female is HUGE whoever she is, mom went up after her.  Cam is panning.

Mom just came in with female on her tail, she smacked mom and veered off.  Well certainly Cadence's M.O.

Ok I just had three in view, large female flying around building..doing donuts and here she comes again.

Thanks for the heads up Donna, cam is up and will watch while I work.  I wouldn't think she'd come back after that decisive battle but what do I know.  Hoping it's someone else. 

5.28 am and she spent the night.  She's sleeping perched on the left hand side of the nest box with her head tucked into her wing.

6.04 am and now one laying in nest box and the other perched on side.  Too dark to see much of anything else. 

Dixie laid egg #3 around 4.50 today but couldn't get a clear photo until now.  I posted it to Peregrine Place Facebook!
