1816  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: 2017 Pictures from the Rfalconcam Cameras on: 26-Mar-17, 06:37:12 AM
Beauty has been sound asleep with her head tucked into her wing for the past half hour since I logged on at 6 am.  Don't see a second egg yet.  sleepy
1817  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Rhea Mae and Tiago's Webcam - Toronto - Canadian Peregrine Foundation on: 26-Mar-17, 06:30:17 AM
No one there this morning but I was encouraged to see her sleeping at the nest last night - almost seems like they are back to their 'pre-condo-construction' schedule of a few years ago.

6.01 am and falcon perched outside with back to me, likely mom (for lack of a better name).  Eggs are not destroyed,, not sure why that lady posted that int he comments.  I can see them both this morning and could last nite as well after she said that, perhaps she was just upset.

6.19 am and mom sleeping with her head tucked into her wing.

6.32 am and she woke up and flew out.  No one else in sight that I can see on cam.

6.46 am and male is in and on eggs now.

Can't stay awake anymore.  Going to sign off and hope the morning brings a status quo and no further injuries.  Assuming internet isn't down again - that might be a pipe dream - I'll be up early to check in on the site.

Lost internet again.  Assuming it holds I'll keep watch on the situation tonight and tomorrow.  If I vanish it's because we're down again.

Cadence seems to be perched on the building above mom.  Dark out now ....  I don't like that, I wonder if she has eaten at all herself.

I thought of Beauty too Joyce, very reminiscent of that time.  Every time I've seen Cadence she's looked strong and no injuries, praying it stays that way.  If push comes to shove, I'm hoping they both chose to live another day.
1823  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:46:28 PM
Yes she just walked out of cam view.  Maybe he'll have some food for her there, they likely have an eating area nearby but away from the nest to keep it clean.
1824  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:33:35 PM
He brought in food a few hours ago and she took it.  At the time we weren't sure who took the food as she hadn't been seen for a few hours but likely it was her now that we know she is safe.  He seems more concerned about 'his' eggs at the moment.
1825  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:28:29 PM
Looks quiet now.  Cadence may be done for the day and gone off to eat and rest.  I hope she doesn't hurt herself in this attempt either.
1826  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:27:31 PM
We were down early this morning for 6 hours.  I actually went into the office to call them as my phone is IP as well..they said at the time it was an area outage.  Must be storms somewhere maybe?!
1827  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:22:27 PM
Internet connection keeps dropping. Grrr...might go down again.
1828  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 06:07:30 PM
Yeah she looks exhausted Donna.  She did the same thing last night, came to the box towards dusk where it's somewhat safe for her.  I expect she knows Cadence will need to eat and rest and darkness will fall soon and she can rest up for another day.
1829  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 05:18:39 PM
Resident female is back in front of box!  Cadence in the air, resident female is bleeding again from same wound..
1830  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Cadence, 91/BA on: 25-Mar-17, 04:51:08 PM
Male left for a few minutes and flew back in at 4.38.  I saw a larger female in the distance at the same time, she flew to, I'm assuming, the top of the building and he went back into the igloo and on eggs.
