Agreed Alison, it's never a happy time when someone is injured.  All their lives are important and special. It is bittersweet for sure.

I expect if it was Cadence early on this month she was just doing recon work because watching how relentless she has been the past 24 hours - honestly she is one strong female and I doubt anyone would survive weeks given how hard she's been attacking.  Seriously anytime the resident female took to the air you'd see Cadence just swoop down on her.  The resident female spent most of the morning crouching down in in front of the nestbox posturing with her head down low and her wings out around her body.

Don't know Donna if that female at the start of month was Cadence or another female.

Interestingly a few hours ago I described the male as having an very orange cere and feet like DotCa...who knew~!

Me either Donna and this one has been particularly tough to watch.  Cadence has been relentless on her. If you had seen the resident female last night it would have broke your heart, she was bleeding so badly and struggling to lay an egg.  She looked better today but she was exhausted.  She hasn't been seen for a few hours now and then we saw Cadence march into the box.. no idea if it's over but I expect the mom must be injured again if she didn't come back to her eggs.

New Jersey and yes resident female was badly injured yesterday, bleeding out of her chest.  It's been hell watching it and I had no idea it was our Cadence!!

Other female laid her second egg last night while injured, male is on eggs now.

Appears to have won a 2 day battle against resident female.

Cadence, after a 2 day battle may have defeated a female at Union County and looks to be taking over.  Didn't know it was her until she entered the nest box and mwplay saw her bands!!

I'm watching Beauty too  wave    Bao Bao is also going to be live from China at 10 pm our time, it's her official public debut over there, she's out of quarantine and they're going to run it live.  Problem is there are 6 cams and we're trying to figure out which one she'll be on  crazy

She's further ahead than any of our girls - well except for Midnight but she's on Ohio time  lol   I thought OC and Lily would lay an egg by now for sure since they laid on the 20th last year but nope..nada.
