Poor guy but at least they found him.  It doesn't good for the other guy either.  And poor Harriet..sounds like she will be in trouble as well if she is on her own.

Looks like Sandy lost her red tape. Interesting that she is hanging around Toronto wildlife area. Another juvie looking for an easy meal?  Well, she looks healthy. Pretty girl!

I wonder if the banders pulled it off to read/record her USFWS band. Pretty sure she still had a few weeks ago when she was seen.

That is the assumption up here kitty.

Just saw that.  He should have stayed away, I don't think this is going to end well.

For anyone concerned about Genesee still being home looking for food this time of year, here are two old posts I had done back when Big Frank (ie) came home looking for food and hung out with mom back in 2013.  One is dated today -2013 and the other September 24.2013.  At the time I was worried but look at her now!  handshake

Maybe Big Frank and Genesee crossed paths and she gave him some tips on getting food from mom and dad!  wave

Lol..I bet you are right!!  laugh

From C&C's FB page:

Body of the Terminal Tower's Boomer Found: RIP to Boomer, a handsome, steady, and reliable mate and a part of the TT's magnificent peregrine legacy! As we all suspected when a new male appeared at the TT nest tray in place of Boomer this summer, Boomer met his demise. We can only speculate that he was likely killed in a territory battle, possibly having battled the current resident tiercel at the site, Stacker, who has paired with Newton since June. Laurie Graber from DOW informed us that Boomer's body was found on the Rockefeller Building, which is a few blocks to the northwest of the Terminal Tower. Boomer is deserving of a much more complete tribute, but for now we'll post this pic of Boomer when he was resting comfortably at the tray with one eye shut and one of his molted primaries propped up beside him...   crying

Thank you Alison, I know you have a good eye!  I saw Tiago earlier as well, managed to see his black on left and silver on right before he flew off!

Thanks Kitty, I'm personally confident RM and Tiago are still here as I've seen them on and off the past few weeks and their behavior is bonding and they seem very relaxed but I always feel better when others confirm it too.  It was Sandy yesterday that nycbird posted photos of - my vision is horrid but Bruce confirmed today that he saw her yesterday which is also a good sign that mom and dad are around.

That being said, I'm still going to keep my eyes peeled ...it is the time of year anything can happen.

There are two photos they sent in and I think I can see bottoms of bands? .  As of a few days ago I saw both RM and Tiago - 2 banded adults here.  Worth keeping an eye out though just in case.

!!! Someone new at the Toronto Sheraton Centre Hotel?????????
August 28, 2015 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre

CPF Postmaster Reports:

August 28th - 2015

After being away , we’re only now just trying to catch-up with all of the back logged mail and news. Thank you to Olga for capturing and sending in this web cam shot of an adult on the Toronto Sheraton Hotel nest ledge. What makes this shot VERY VERY interesting, is that the adult peregrine in her photograph appears NOT TO BANDED!!??

After spending some time this morning with the photo in Photoshop, trying to blow it up and playing with the light to get a better perspective on the shot, it still appears that the bird is NOT dawning any leg bands!!!

If this is the case, could one of the long standing resident adults (Tiago or Rhea-Mae) have been displaced / replaced,, or simply just not at home when this un-banded adult dropped in????????

I don't see any 'red' tape.  Could have fallen off though, mind you I've got bad vision especially in this light.
2219  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Rhea Mae and Tiago's Webcam - Toronto - Canadian Peregrine Foundation on: 01-Sep-15, 02:04:36 PM
Do you have larger photos?  I can't see those very well.  Whoever it is - is on the far end now on top of that other box.
2220  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Offspring / Re: Rhea Mae and Tiago's Webcam - Toronto - Canadian Peregrine Foundation on: 01-Sep-15, 02:03:46 PM
Sandy was photographed about an hour or two north of Toronto a few weeks ago.  Not to say she couldn't have come back.  It's normal pattern for them to go off exploring and go further each time until eventually they don't come back.
