Lots of moving around, increase in pebble picking and back vents are raised.  I thought I heard faint peeps this morning earlier but could have been the background noise.  I'm excited 

2 heads came up for breakfast just now!!! 

Just caught a quick glimpse of the baby  

First hatch is here!!  BCAW caught it while I was on the subway home!! 

I wonder if it was Skye who brought the food in for the eggs, just like his brother!  

I remember he did do it last year 

Tracy just alerted me to food being brought in for the eggs...    Happy you are all watching, I can't get this cam at work so looking forward to seeing any news.

Cams are down and we may miss watching her raise her babies.

Unfortunately the cable connecting one the cameras appears to be disconnected, this may have been a result of the weather. We have contacted the DEC to help us reconfigure the cable but we may not be able to fix this unil the banding. Sorry.. Wish we could do more.

Humans come and steal their babies..yeah they'll be all over that area wanting to nest.  Work like this is planned a year in advance, they should have relocated the nest box BEFORE the nesting season...honestly how does this organization call it's an environmental agency?  It's a corporate puppet.

The stress that will be placed on those birds with them 'stealing' their kids and the loss of their home while work is being done - how can any agency say it's for the protection of the species in one breath and then make a bone headed decision like this with another?
