Isn't the baby the cutest  .  They're banding him/her on Saturday morning!

 Oshawa has their first nesting peregrines, and a new baby peregrine! Lakeview Health Oshawa has some new residents!

Female is :   The adult female peregrine was hatched in 2012 in New York State in the USA. She dawns a Black over Green leg band – 73 over AW and she was named “Alfriedaâ€�,,,, named after one of the architects of the Central Terminal in Buffalo NY USA where she was produced.

Male may be:  er solid Black banded male mate - band # 63 over X with Yellow tape overtop of his silver USFW band on the other leg is one that we banded on May 24 2012, produced at the Canada Square nest site. ** We have not confirmed that this is the resident male at the hospital as yet.

If it is in fact the same male, he was named “Simcoe�, (and was produced at the Canada Square nest site at the Yonge & Eglinton nest here in up-town Toronto).

Beauty's nephew - son of Belle and Allen from 2009 - Harold has been positively ID'd nesting in Erie, Michigan.  He's been there four years but they didn't get his bands until they put back one of the rescued fledgelings

That was a most excellent flight and landing NorE!!  

Completely fascinated that Beauty keeps tabs on Nor'E after his "incident". How in the world do they know! Amazing.

I'm sure part of it is instinct and the other part in Beauty's case might be that she herself was rehabbed due to possibly hitting a building.  And of course DC also had that little incident last year where he wasn't quite himself and may have also smacked into something.

Can't we all just get along? The falcon and the hawk have formed an unusual friendship during their stay at BTBW. They even eat together.    

Seems to me that other species are always teaching humans how they should behave 

Can't tell you how wonderful it is to see Pigott again, thank you Joyce for going to check up on her and taking these photos of her family.  Her family!  She so deserves this!   

I can't believe this happened again 

I wonder is she ran off with that unbanded tiercel that day?  Her mate is unbanded.  I am so happy, I can't even tell you..I was so worried something happened to her and look at her now with a baby! 

This is the best news ever!  I was so worried about her and here she is - finally a mama!  You go girl!!
