I saw some photos tonight that someone posted a link to on BCAW of the intruding female, she's only a year old.  She's so sweet looking, I hope she doesn't hurt herself poor little thing.  Here is the link if you want to see her buzzing Clara.

Clara has 4 eggs this morning, it's being reported so it will be EC's for sure.  Let's hope that new female goes her own way and leaves Clara in peace and the new tiercel continues to be supportive.

It seems EC has been replaced with a new unbanded tiercel.  Watchers on the ground and manning the cams have confirmed it and Glen's report has been posted to BCAW.  Not sure what will happen now and the second intruder seems to be female and although the new guy offered Clara food, he was also seen bowing with the other female so it may not be over yet.

Not sure if any of you follow this falcon cam but there has been some drama here.  Clara and EC have 3 eggs so far and have been dealing with another intruding pair.  EC has now not been seen since yesterday, one egg is damaged and Clara is on cam looking lost and occasionally chasing off another falcon.

Here is a good site to check migration counts.  Lots of TV's as mentioned here already on the move and yesterday 1 pefa flew through the Panama City location.  Archer is that you?!

One advantage Beauty will have is she's probably being kept away from too much natural light so her hormones won't be amped up by natural daylight like the outside falcons will.

This may give her the advantage of being more cautious and less likely to take adverse risks. She'll also just have left rehab so the memory of humans will be fresh on her mind and she may not want to revisit that so fast.

I don't want to see any of them fatally hurt.  Each and every falcon is special and a gift in my mind.

Titan & GG, Cheyenne's former mate!  Sad  Wonder if he will show up there.

Thanks kris

Or with any luck he might go home to mama since he was released not far from home.  Now that his dad is gone perhaps he could take over his site.

Very sad news tonight over at CMNH.  Cheyenne's father, the legendary Bandit was found dead at the age of 17 years old.  Chad and Chris have just posted the sad news.

Great photos Frank  Nova sure has matured since I held him as a juvie at the Sportsman Show!   I don't know who was more nervous over that back then, him or me!  Of course Mark telling me he'd have to kill me if I let him loose might have had something to do with that  lol

I'm thinking because he is not banded that perhaps he has no idea what a nest box is and maybe that's why he hasn't been going into it. Has anyone seen him in there?  wave

Donna has photos of him on the lip of the nestbox from the weekend you were gone! So he's been half in/half out here http://rfalconcam.com/forum/index.php?topic=6917.150

We saw him at the box before we did Unity and I think we saw him inside exploring that weekend too or I may be confusing him with Unity..it's a bit of a blur now.

He's likely smart enough to not want to get cornered in there with Unity, she's a big girl  lol

I wasn't sure where to put this but I've dug a bit into Unity's background, specifically her dad's since we know where Belle hails from.  I found some names I recognized and sure enough checked CMNH and found one of Juanita's wonderful geneology charts where I had seen the names and turns out Unity comes from some good stock on both sides!

Unity's parents are Belle and Allen as listed in the previous post.  Allen's parents are Majesty - 2/*A and Intimidator - 42/k both born in Hamilton County in Ohio at different nest sites in the same year 2002.

Majesty's parents were Riverace - **7/*A  and Mary Ellen  - *B/*B; these are the two names I remembered from somewhere and here is the link to Juanita's chart post.

(I found most of the band information on the Ohio website in the archives and traced them backwards.)
