Heartbreaking, she was such a beautiful girl and her parents fought so hard to keep her alive...what a horrible ending for everyone involved.  crying crying

Sure hope they consider giving Quest an enclosed box so she won't have to spend half her days being an Mumbrella from the sun & rain next year.

Funny you are talking about this as Frank told me that last night on our fledge watch that Quest will likely be getting a nestbox with cover once the season is done.  This one was done quickly to respond to an urgent situation.

Day 39 and we had our first fledge this morning  clap  Hera - who will likely be renamed as he and Skye look like tiercels now - flew around the building to the next tower and he's actually right on top of the building which is higher than the nest ledge!  Mom is keeping an eye on him and Frank and Tracy are on the ground..so far so good.  Skye looks ready to go next but we'll see!  Jupiter might be a girl and a not a boy..but we're not sure yet.    paperbag

That's interesting!  I know there are some birds that nest with two females in the same nest, read about that 2 years ago when I was first researching bigamous males but it was smaller birds they were talking about.  Can't remember which kind but was not a pefa.  I'd love to hear more about that!  I wonder if it's not a situation like Polly in Montreal or if this is tiercel really has 2 wives in the same nest...be a first for sure!!!

Carla, can we find out more information on it?

Thank you for the update Donna, I'm so relieved they've gotten everything settled.  I hope they have a good meal and an uneventful drive home - they've had a tough day.

Bruce is a wonderful guy and I"m so thankful he was reachable today, don't know what we would have done without him.  bow

Oh no, those poor ladies.  I feel so awful, they are such wonderful people and they came all the way out to the west end to see me and the falcon family and looks what happens  Cry

Joyce and Mak are in good hands, they left my site at about 3:15 with Bruce and were headed to the clearing centre where they have to report the accident.  The CAA (Canadian Automobile Association) was with them, he took the bumper off and otherwise the car was driveable.

They are hoping to get cleared to drive it straight home otherwise they will rent a car.  They got to see Jack, Angel and the kids for a bit while we waited on everyone to come to our aid.  Hopefully they will get to come home soon.

I'm going to try to make it up to Canada Square for the banding this morning at 10 am so I can check out the 'invading interlopers'!   2thumbsup

Going to go get ready now as I"m located about an hour from that site.

Does anyone know-- is this the Milton who returned to his nest last year to find another male?

Yes this is the same Milton.  Jack stole his site and his girl.  The released him from rehab a few days before his TR Mom and Jack's eggs hatched.  Very, very happy he found a new place to call home!

Just checking in before work at 6:15 am and the cam is back up and Quest and Harlie weathered the storm well.  Feeding going on right now  clap  Supposed to be more storms rolling through today but so far it's calm and quiet.

Well that was a whole lot of noise for nothing.  Now it's dark but quiet and not raining... Can still hear rumbling in the distance but it's calmed down.

Yeah it's getting bad.  Was 44c with the humidex today...unbearably hot and now the cooling down system is coming in.  My furniture is moving around on the balcony and you can hear the winds and the thunder.
