There is a section of the forum with questions & answers here
There is also a help page on the forum tabs just above (home-help-search-profile-my messages...etc) or click here. It outlines tha basics of how this forum works. That being said, since I hadn't looked at those pages in a while it took me a bit to find them. Perhaps they could be pinned to the top of the forum home page. And perhaps we old-timers should come up with a quick reference guide now that we have figured out how to navigate pretty quickly. Yes, I volunteer to coordinate it-I'll start a separate note for suggestions and items that people are finding the most vexing to figure out. The guide, once complete, can then take the pinned at the top spot. That's that I'm talking about, Ei! I just noticed that a few people noted difficulties in trying to post etc. Maybe tips pinned where a new member signs up or on the home page? I don't know where newbies go to first. I just automatically go to latest pictures to see the nest, and then click to the forum. And then to the blogs. But it did take me a while....:-)

You know, I think that other watchers/viewers -- not just Lola -- may have difficulty locating the Blogs. Maybe somewhere on here, there should be information about accessing the blogs -- both Falconwatch and Imprints, and of course the Quest blog. (Maybe there is and I just don't know it!) I even saw today that some weren't sure how to post a comment under the forum or having difficulty doing so. Perhaps under the home page, there could be a section for that. Shaky? Is that something you can do? I still don't know how to capture a picture and attached it to a post! Maybe a section called Navigating Falconcam ? I know I have learned an awful lot --and made a lot of blunders -- navigating these pages and watching our falcons and posting comments. Hey Margaret - at the top of each page on the blue banner, under the RFalconcam logo, is where you can find "blogs" (near the center). Click on that and then choose which blog you would like to read. Hi Carol - yes I know that. I've read and posted on the blogs many times, but a few others posting commented that they had a difficult time posting a comment. And someone just asked how to locate MAK's blog post. It seems there have been a number of new members sign up, and I just was wondering if it was all clear to them. :-)

and looking at the empty nest box -- especially at this time of year when it should be filled with little eyases --- is especially brutal for us humans. But Archer and Beauty are out flying our skies, so that is cause to cheer. Have any of the KP watchers seen Archer up there with Unity? Or is Unity having her own difficult time too?

Everyone - make sure you read MAK's blog for today under "Falcon Watch". She has written a wonderful report of today's happenings, bringing all of us in to her experiences. Well done, MAK, even tho it was a sad day. You were meant to find that egg. No one else would have realised its importance. Nor would they have treated it with such love and respect.
Yes to what Bobbie posted! Visit MAK's blog post from today -- under the Falconwatch tab. Read it and appreciate all the posts that have allowed us to follow these fabulous falcons.

What does this disruption do to their hormones? I am assuming that the falcons' hormone levels change during breeding and nesting and hatching season? It does seem that A and B are looking confused or perplexed? I'm guessing that their instincts and hormones are still in one mode, but I'm also wondering how that will affect them for the rest of what is their breeding season. Is it a good sign that both Mark B and MAK saw them mating?

MAK is DT, she just found the egg on the sidewalk, she called me cryin g . That has to be hard for her after watching all these months. Oh MAK, I am so sorry. You, above all, have been the devoted tracker, recorder and photographer of Beauty! How hard for you. But, Beauty and Archer are still here, and will still grace our skies. And maybe, just maybe, a new clutch? Tough day for all of us, but even tougher for you.

How awful for him. I wonder if the new male had any part in this. Every day, something else in the Falcon world. Need a Xanax! I didn't even think that the new male...don't want to say it. Poor Irving. It makes me go back to wondering what happened to our Mr. T who was Beauty's boy-toy through the winter months. She WAS happy looking through that time, flying around and being free. It is tough, but so ware the peregrines. We are just watching.

(movie) an hour with Beauty Clearly the Beautyful one is frustrated. This really is hard to watch but that's what we're all about...watching! It's funny, MAK, I'm just catching up. from earlier today....I think this is the longest I've gone without watching the cams in a long time. I just posted a similar comment a few minutes ago...that is was tough to watch. And B does seem to be frustrated or distressed, I know I can anthro....can we just say AMP? Or that someone is AMPing? But it was a tough hour to watch.
