Gorgeous little mini-Cini----hope he comes to Rochester!
Lucky you to be there!   He is adorable.   May he fly high and be safe always, and maybe in Rochester!
Thank you for posting.  Looking forward to hearing lots more about all the adventures.

Quite a moment, Shaky.   Hope there are more pics to come.
Is it just me or does anyone else see Mariah in   Rhea Mae? The coloration, the stance, the posture, the stripes, the protective mode... the attitude?  She is her mom.    wub2

My thoughts on this cracked egg and I am certainly no expert.  I believe it was empty, without a yolk.  I do not see any evidence of leakage from this egg, on or near the cracked section egg.  A&B don't seem to be in any hurry to dispose of this egg.  Normally they would.  They did last year.

Mark Nash told me that if there is any leakage from a broken/cracked egg, it must be removed as soon as possible.  This is due to the damage that it may cause to their feathers.

I'm still not giving up hope for the last two eggs, which seem to be intact.  There may be no hatches in Rochester this year, but I won't give up until A&B give up.

It's funny that you post this, Carol, I think I remember that from last year -- that a leaking egg could be "toxic"  or at least "not good"  for the birds.
I don't know about the egg being empty.  I enlarged it earlier and it certainly looked like somthing was in there to me..IMHO.
Did anyone else enlarge and zoom in on the image that I think Donna or Ei posted?   It was this afternoon.

Egg is going to be removed right now.

Carla, Beauty has a stone in her mouth

I've watched B pick at pebbles, but that is one ODD looking stone.

She does look great!  Thank goodness for all the wonderful women  (and it is mostly women)  who are becoming vets.  They are the best!   This little one is receiving the best care!   Grow well, little one!   Soar about us!

 Sad
 crying
So sad.  Will Archer and Beauty dispose of it?   Is that a little chick I am seeing when I enlarge the picture?
Hopefully that is the first egg that was laid.

Hopeful words from Mark Nash that A and B could reclutch.

Both A and B seem very quiet today on the nest.

There is also Erin - the resident female at King Street here in Toronto (Kendall's mom).  She turned up in 2009 and was 11 years old at the time!  She was born in Milwaukee in 1998 and who knows where she was prior to showing up here.

And don't forget your very own Alkyonis, who was spotted for the first time since she left Rochester in 2004, in Michigan.
Thanks, Carly, for the healthy and cheerful reminders!    We need them now!
Cheer on for Quest, Kendall, Linn, Reuben, Rhea Mae and Tiago, and all of our PeFas no matter where they may be!

Thanks, All.  It is taking a great risk to post and process your most favorite photos.  Some of my favorites did not make the cut.  I'll post those in the near future.  The first comments are in and the church loves the pictures.

Beautiful pictures, Bonnie.  Be proud!
