Legacy Located at St. Mary’s Cement in Bowmanville!!

April 13, 2013 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre

A bit of exciting news for Rhea Mae and Tiago!  Legacy, their offspring from the 2010 nesting season, has been indentified and located at the St. Mary’s Cement plant in Bowmanville with a female named Buffy.  The St. Mary’s pair failed to hatch eggs in 2010 and 2011 and then last year, they altered the location of their nest site to the east silos and hatched at least two eggs.  Last year, as Legacy reached adulthood, may have been the year that he arrived and took over the territory which would coincide with the observed changes in nest site location and behaviour.  Congratulations Rhea Mae and Tiago on another offspring successfully making his way in the world!!

Such an odd couple-he let her have the food when he first arrived-then she brought it back-then he took it & left

Like I teach my kids with Lord of the Flies - "food is power"!    The hunters held all the power because they controlled the food.  These two - B and DC - have been in a power struggle since the beginning.   He/She who controls the food,  has the power.   Two strong forces of nature and beauty (Beauty with a capital B).

Beauty looking very much in charge as the weeks ends.

Yes, she is in charge!  Have to love the beautiful BYF and the fierceness and intelligence in her eyes!

What will happen now to Doc and Pigott, but what will happen to Beauty if they now  invade downtown?

She loves her Mercury 

Is that Beauty still on Mercury now?  The light is fading, and it's hard to see on  my computer.  She's been there a long time if that is still her.

Thank you for your devotion so late downtown tonight.   So, you have pics of a banded juvie and MAK has pictures of an unbanded falcon from this morning. 
This is getting wild.   So there were at least five seen today? 

This is a really wild guess, and perhaps shows my ignorance about the way of the falcon, but since this juvie has been kind of spotted  either DT or at BS before and no one seems to take note of it  (the pefas) could it possibly be Orion?   It just went through my head that maybe he is passing through and that's why DC is not going after him?  Would he recognized the juvie as such?
