Let's think positive. Looking at archives, B was on eggs at 2:20. She was off from 2:30-2:34. It looks like she then was on until 2:43. She was off again at 2:52, but back on eggs at 2:53. At 2:55 she appears to be looking at something. She is doing a lot of looking up. I think she is prepared to defend her eggs.

I like your two cents, MAK! Yes, we do have to keep on keeping on! I'm with you there, but it is still so sad. The picture is sad. Were the young rescued and taken to be fostered? My positive thought is that the prey was not poisoned, and perhaps it was another cause.
I hope so. Is it still early enough for the male to find another mate? Will the nest site be tested? Annette, are you from Switzerland? You have the most beautiful country! I visited there in what seems a lifetime ago. Lucerne...before the beautiful bridge burned down; Zurich, and further south...I only remember Jungfrau. I will return to Switzerland some day...that is my positive thought for the day!
This truly is a world wide forum! All with one thing in common --love of the peregrines! I'm going to bet that is more likely love of all avian creatures.

WOW! Now it's all clear. I never paid attention to the difference in the "tweet" time and the "forum post time". "Attention shall be paid!" :-)

MAK, your tweet is from 10:10 about Brian seeing Archer and another pefa DT. From the archive viewer, it looks like B left at 10:04 and Archer is on eggs at 10:05. So if Brian saw A before 10:05 maybe it was Archer, but after 10:05 ?
Margaret, when I got the message from Brian of the 2 flying Beauty was in the nestbox on the eggs so it couldn't have been Beauty with him. We can't always go by the times on the forum because there is a delay from the time tweets are sent out and when they show up on the forum. That's what I thought. I didn't think it was Beauty. I will keep the delay in mind. Use the date and time in the title of the tweet. It is when the tweet was sent according to twitter. MAK's tweet about Brian seeing Archer and another pefa DT was sent at 10:01. Thank you, Shaky! I'll get all this straight one day. You guys have it down to a science. How far this site has come since its inception! It is the best!

He was in late yesterday evening-7 something to 8:30-ish. He'll be there when he gets there.
Your right Ei, sorry, I missed that. Yeah, he's probably just out and about. Beauty doesn't seem to be in any hurry to go anywhere. At this point in the incubation Beauty may be giving him the go away-I'm on duty signal. Thanks, Donna and Ei, for the answers.
