Everybody be safe and keep warm. It's going to get really nasty tonite here in Rochester, NY. Over a foot of snow by tomorrow evening. Yuck! Can't wait for Spring!
Let us hear from you if you're in the path of this storm.
So funny that you want to hear from everyone out "here". As I was driving home tonight, anticipating a wonderful snow day tomorrow, I thought of the "Falcon Flakes" and wondering if you would venture out into what promises to be quite a day. So let "US" out here in the warmth and safety of our homes and computer screens know how you "flakes" are. So we are thinking of you too...

Forgive my ignorance, but why/how would a gull have a transmitter? Do we have any information from the transmitter, or who would have fitted the gull with it? Carol, did the PEFA you saw with the ducks, get both of them?

Very funny video! Thank you for this. Yes, thanks for posting this funny video. Love the Cheerio spittiing kid with the dog catching them. I am forwarding the video to my own kid who just had her own first and only 'kid" and my first and only ""grandkid" ...so thank you. Too funny. And my own bird loves Cheerios...all my birds have always loved Cheerios? Why does every kid, bird, animal love Cheerios?

Stuuning pictures, Dana. That new Pefa is gorgeous. Is she larger than Beauty, or is it just that you were closer? The shots of the ducks were gorgeous; especially the serenity the two Mergansers bring into the picture in sharp contrast to the brutal prey scene. That it's an award winning shot. Did you shoot them from inside your car?

Which falcon is this? So many, I don't know who's who!! MAK said this is a NEW unbanded female Dana spotted!! Whoa! For those of us at home today, reading/watching from the warmth and comfort of our homes, I BOW to all of you watchers -- Carol, MAK, Joyce, Dana, Brian...sorry if I missed someone. I've been checking in and there are reports from downtown, Brighton, and now this new spotting up by the bay. You are all wonderful (or nuts?). For those checking in from afar...it is COLD here. Frigid, arctic and getting worse. Thank you to our watchers!

I made quick trip up there yesterday afternoon to check on the situation. The good news: all of our equipment is in perfect working order. The bad news: the building's computer network is no longer accepting traffic from our computers. It appears that someone reconfigured the network Wednesday so that it ignores them.
We attempting to contact the right person to get this resolved.
So glad to see some info about the cameras. I thought I missed something. I noticed the cameras not updating since Wednesday, but when I looked on forum, didn't see any reports, so I thought it was my computer(s)...what do I know? Hope it is resolved soon.

Actually there is still a working elevator that uses this elevator shaft. In fact, the elevator was up inside the top section yesterday.
Carol P.
I remember losing my purse many times in that revolving restaurant (the OCSR). That elevator was quite "cool" in its time in Rochester. Since then I think the revolving "scene" was home to an advertising agency and is now home to a female attorney's office -- if I am not mistaken. So, Carol, you are saying that that elevator is still in use? I'd love to take a ride on that! Is it thought that falcons are sleeping or nesting in there? Where are they sleeping on these frigid nights we are having?
