 rofl

This really is funny.  Poor Archer.  Poor Beauty.  Maybe I'm anthropomorphizing  a bit too much, but can every one who has been a "new" parent relate?
I know Archer delivered some prey earlier this morning, but is Beauty also doing her own hunting?
Does she get a chance to eat while she is feeding the young 'uns?

Unfortunately, I think that's just a feather.

I think it's just a feather too.  Maybe there is a pip underneath the feather.

I have another question that perhaps someone can answer.  Given the hatch date of May 18, does anyone have an estimate for the banding date and fledging time frame?

Brunch time!  Lots of noise lol - the kids here at school are grossed out by the Main cam pic haha
I can't get the steaming video here at school, but I had the main camera picture up on the overhead (of brunch) when my kids came in and they were a little "grossed" out too...and they're high school seniors!    Some remember watching the Kodak cam when they were in middle school and elementary school!  It makes an impression.
These pictures are fascinating; to watch the interaction, and the wonder of nature unfold before our eyes.  It truly is a privilege.
Question....who brought home "the brunch"?  Was it Archer or did Beauty step out?
1477  Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Picture of the day on: 19-May-10, 08:36:11 AM
I was going to use this one until Donna posted the picture of Beauty with the fuzzy eyas from 7:53 this morning. I had to go with that one.
clap
Oh yes.  That's gorgeous!

I would like to nominate this picture of the first hatch for picture of the day.  Thank you!

I second the nomination!

clap Congratulations to our first time parents, Archer and Beauty, congratulations and thank you to all of you who keep this up and running.  Wonderful pictures of the hatch...even though I missed it by a few minutes.  Still beautiful to see.

1481  Rochester Falcons / Falcon Watches / Re: Peregrine Falcon on Irondequoit Bay on: 18-May-10, 08:14:47 AM
oh yes  heart both of them  heart heart

I think we  all miss M and K.  This is exciting, especially considering Archer's lines, but it is also bittersweet.   That's why it's so great that we can still track Quest, hopefully all of these newbies coming soon!

Looking at this picture/movie  of Beauty posted  by Dumpsterkitty at 4:13, she sure looks fluffed up and restless.  Actually she has  looked like this all day.  I think it's going to be Tuesday the 18th,  although I originally selected the 19th. This is so exciting.

Thank you to Shaky and to Kenn for working so hard to get this up in running just in time for the hatching.  It is appreciated.  Thanks!

Where on Irondequoit Bay would be a good place  to watch?   Up by the outlet bridge?
At the foot of the bay by Empire?   Midpoint?   And Carol, didn't you last see Mariah up by Saint Anne's and the Medley Centre this fall?
1485  Rochester Falcons / Falcon Watches / Re: Peregrine Falcon on Irondequoit Bay on: 12-May-10, 07:53:20 AM
:clap:Good for you for getting such good shots of the PF over the bay.  The conditions were not great Monday night.   That split wing photo does offer some hope....could it be?   That would be so wonderful!   Thank you for your dedication, and I know that you watchers will track down who this is!
