Keeping an eye on Quest: she's very wary at the moment. Sitting a ledge over, just watching and waiting for the ropes to disappear. Will be happy to see them reunited! Banding was wonderful. Took some photos, which I'll upload and share in the next day or so!
Love to hear and read what you saw, Kat! With your "bird's eye" view, it must be wonderful!

Are all three back in the nb? Looks like only two to me.
I saw only 2 also I believe the first one is hiding in the corner where the camera can't see him/her. It appeared she put all three back in, and they are huddling in that back right corner, away from all the scary big things... Oh,I hope so. This must be so traumatic for them...and for Q and K.

1st one Male: 600 grams, Blaze BLUE Tape
2nd 845 gram Female: Amora Red Tape
3rd one Female: 755 grams: Mira, Green tape.
For those who are gram-challenged (like me), here's the rough equivalent: Blaze 600 g = 21.1 oz. Amora 800 g = 28.2 oz. Mira 755 g = 26.6 oz. Fly long and strong to the three new babies. Love the names. thank you for posting, Donna and Kathy.

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Times Square Building question

Being with me on a watch is an adventure. I have no sense of direction what so ever,so telling me something flew south is useless. I need to know which building it went towards. Telling me a bird is on the SE corner of the west face of a building really confuses me. I call a thingy a thingy as in the heat of a watch as long as U know which thingy I mean its all that matters :-) PS Im really not kidding. Even at a site Ive watched for 10 years Ive no clue which direction is which.
I'm with you Frank! Thank goodness! I confess...I am the same way. I have a good sense of direction, but all of the SW, EW, means nothing to me...I 'm with you all the way. thing a bob on the building? bump!

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Where does the name Pigott come from?

All of the chicks that year were named after buildings that the falcons historically frequent at various times during their flights/eating/roosting. The Pigott Building, the first steel-skeleton skyscraper in Hamilton and one of the first in Canada, was constructed in 1929 at a cost of $1,000,000. Named after the prominent Hamilton family whose construction company erected it, the building served as office space for almost 70 years before being converted to condos in the late 1990s. It?s roof once housed searchlights which revolved every 30 seconds. It now hosts perambulating peregrines often carrying pigeons who would rather be elsewhere. I was at the banding and it was pronounced Pig It
Thank you, BF! I've been following and reading, and not really knowing how to pronounce our lady of the BS! So it is PIG IT! thank you! I was thinking it was Pig GO. I was not right!
