For me...this is the picture of the year!  Look at those beautiful babies.  Quest is just as good a mom as her own mom was!   This is precious.

I was hoping it was Archer after I read your first post.  Darn is right! Bit a new guy in town.  If only he could meet Pigott!  Just no more battles. 

FYI: both Quest and Kendal are currently showing off their "skillz" to the young-uns! They keep soaring and swooping by.

This is a classic!  A must see in archives forever!  B is the alpha bird and in control for sure!  Bless for, for all she has been through, she deserves her moment of glory.  I only hope that this year is that moment!  Love the pics that were captured!

Hi all!

I've been crazy busy, but can assure you that Kendal is still around. I actually even caught the whole fam on camera last night when I was watching from home.

I think he's busy with all those mouths to feed. We definitely see feathers flying regularly around here. And we've spotted a carcass (wings, sans body) around the back of the building. Eeps.

Just an FYI in case you are wondering where the watchers are tomorrow. CarolP,Dana and KathyO will be going to Rhea Mae and Tiagos banding tomorrow in Toronto. Joyce and I will also be going to it plus she and I will be staying over for Jack(dad to Dot.ca) and O'Connors banding on Thursday at the Sunlife site.

I think you are correct about the gender!   question:  why do their feathers look different?  Coming in differently or are they younger than some that we see banded in Rochester?    They are cute..just the same!
