What a great word!  "fluffalump".  Is it in the rfalconcam glossary of terms?  It needs to be along side of a picture that demonstrates just exactly that  a "fluffalump"  is!    Love the word!   Great descriptor!

Kimani's gone missing. A few of us Harlequin folk have been out and about searching for her and Mark's on the watch right now. She was placed on the Harlequin roof last night and couldn't be spotted this morning. Ack: hoping she's found a safe place, but not so hidden away that we can't find her!

Will they be doing a little housekeeping in the NB?

Banding will take place this afternoon at approximately 2 pm. There will not be live camera coverage of the actual banding. However, we plan to keep our nest box cameras running and post updates to our Forum, Facebook, and Twitter throughout the event.

Was the nestbox at Kodak Office Tower larger than this one?   This box, with three, seems more crowded than the NB with the last  group of five that was Quest's   year in 2008. Or our my eyes playing tricks on me?

If my math is correct, the oldest is  24 days today.  Are we still within the window of banding, or is their activity precocious?

That's what I was thinking.  Maybe the DEC is so short staffed or funded?   That would be so sad.

That little one is moving further out on the deck! 

Is this a different chick than the one yesterday?

also seems to be a lot of algae growing on the box.

I'm not worried about the prey, but I agree that the box is pretty bad.  I hope that when they take the birds out for their bands, that the crew wearing haz-mat suits and masks, cleans up the nest box a bit.  It can't be a healthy environment for the babies.  After all, there have never been three babies to be fed up here.  I forgot how messy it is.   Last year, only well fed Orion.   In 2010, only precious Jemison and Callidora, and nothing else at TSB. 
Maybe the cams were not as clear, but I don't remember the KT nestbox looking so bad even in 2008 when there were the five crew.   (Quest and her sibs)
Algae or mold or can you imagine the smell in that nestbox?      I'm surprised it's not attracting vultures!
