I agree! Yay!!!! You don't know how addicted you really are until it gets taken away from you - can't count how many times a day I went to check in. So glad to have the forum back! Thank you to Shaky and Kenn and anyone else who is working on this. What a nightmare it must be for you! Hope you have some hair left! Yes. So happy forum is back. YES! Withdrawal was painful! I can't believe I just checked and found forum is back and running. I hope the lost two months can be recovered. Yes, we are addicted.

I'm just not seeing the Antenna!
Me neither-I think it's Kendal I thought maybe the dark area on the back might be it. Hopefully, it it Kendal! Anne Brockleman posted a great picture of Quest yesterday? and the transmitter was so clear! So as of yesterday, we know Q was there, so I hope this is K! Keep our fingers crossed!

Thank you, MAK and Carol. You have that right! It is important to educate our young 'uns about nature and respect for its beauty. You are right, MAK, about 'puters, and phones, and the next new thing and how important it seems to be to the young 'uns. WE know it is all about being human, and recognizing we share this big, blue, ball with many other creatures big and small, and winged, and feathered. That is the beauty of this site. I may not get out on the streets and chase the birds as you all do (I am SOO jealous) but I recognize its importance -- not only because it brings me joy -- but that I can share with others who may perhaps find that spark within themselves. So thank YOU!

Just a heads up. According to Ann B, two Falcons have been seen today around the nest site. So keep your eyes peeled and if you happen to catch some pics from the camera, please be sure to share. We are hoping that Kendal has returned to Quest. That's awesome! Hope it is Kendal. YES! Let it be Kendall!

Today I was able to have the streaming video on while at work, and usually listen with headphones. I lay them on my desk when i am busy with something. Someone came by, heard Unity, and thought I had a mouse under my desk.
After I explained and showed her the online cam, she said Unity was a real "chatty cathy". I thought, yep that's her....CHATTY-U. LOL
So funny that you post this, Joyce. I will turn on the streaming video when I can (at work), but I usually turn it on in BIG SCREEN -- projected through computer on to overhead screen in my classroom - during my study hall. Many of the students recall having watched the Kodak cams "when I was in second grade or maybe third"...and some of these kids are my seniors now! I am always amazed at how many kids know about the falcons and have watched them at some time in their educational experience. They love hearing the stories about the falcons, and I have many pictures of all of them in the room...along with my own birds. Today, I turned on the streaming video and sound, and was listening as I was ending my day. A former student came in...and we left my room. All had been pretty quiet, but as we were walking down this LONG hall, I could hear Ms Unity start her whine, and it was loud! All the way down the hall, her whining was following us, and I was thinking..."ok, what is everybody thinking hearing this...if you don't know what it is, it could sound a little strange." I do find that it is a wonderful experience sharing the falcons with not only my students, but also with my colleagues at work...who have come to know the falcons.

Doesn't seem like they're seeing Kendal at all -hope nothing has happened to him. Also, shouldn't we be seeing someone at their nestbox by now?
Unless...they're going to nest elsewhere ... those open blinds are not very inviting, I wouldn't lay my eggs there with someone staring at me all day. Either way, he should have been working on a scrape by now. Egg laying will start in about 2 weeks here if we go by past years. Wasn't it early April or mid April that Kendall and Quest were at the nest, or were they "flirting around" the area prior to our hearing about it?

Wow. She loves that scrape. Whatever happens let's cross everything for positive.
I thought the same thing! Unity has to be loving this scrape. This is the Waldorf-Astoria after all the pigeon poop piles at KP! She is just a young 'un, and this is her first time 'movin' on up! I just don't want anything to happen to Beauty or to Unity. We all just want them to live and multiply in peace, love and harmony. Is that too much to ask?
