Hope to you see all there!
Joyce and I are going to the banding today and Kathy is taking Carol,Dana and Lisa. See ya! YAY! I was hoping someone would go! Take lots of pictures! Have a safe trip!

Mommy-if I stay right here you won't bite my neck, right? This one underguard? the one who has been dragged back from the edge? It has to be a girl: "Run-around Sue". And if it's a boy? "A boy named Sue". Has to be Sue. I know there was a Susan B. Anthony...but this she will be Run around Sue. Yeah, so the song is now in my head!! Which one? "Run around Sue" by Dion DiMucci? Or "Boy Named Sue" by Johnny Cash? Both in my head too!

I think it's a blue jay, not a bluebird.
I thought so too. I think it may be a young blue jay. I'm trying to figure out where they would be getting blue birds in the city. Usually they nest in field areas. I've always had a hard time with "prey" - but I must becoming inured to it as I show people these shots from the nest, and they can't believe that I can see/tolerate/watch this. People who know me know my love for all winged creatures, and I have to think and explain that this is "life" and what keeps some of our most endangered birds alive. It is difficult to see, and I do pass by many pictures, shots, photos, but I also recognize that this is what keeps them alive. Anyone else have this quandry?
