Thank you for this. Just getting up to speed with the day, and it is deja vu all over again! I think we can replay the pics from the last couple of months and see Beauty awaiting Archer; Archer coming in; the couple bow to each other; Archer leaves, and Beauty poses with her gorgeous "Where is he going?" stance! Love it! Thank you to Donna?

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Eggs or No Eggs at KP! That is the Question!

Well, we all saw the two eggs sitting up front back in June, but they either were disposed of or pushed back further where they are now being incubated. These two eggs were not cracked, so they were at least a 2nd clutch. Now the question is, are they the eggs being incubated? Or is there a 3rd clutch of eggs? Guess we'll never know and all we can do is wait and see. All the Rochester Watchers are keeping an eye on them and will let you know if anything changes. Carol P. Personally, I think all of you ROC Watchers know more than you let on to us "couch perchers". ( I say that with reverence!) You are all so knowledgeable about our falcons, so I think this clutch is going to hatch, and that the Falcon Flakes will revel in the new birth in the snow!

NO word on Harlequin!!! There has to be a better way to communicate. She could be in Nantucket right now!! We are so used to Rochester falcon watchers tweeting instant reports. We've forgotten how to wait patiently. This is soooo true, Shaky. We live in an instant world now, and not knowing instantly makes us Did I just express that correctly?

Harli is doing really well!! I just called Bruce and he's at the site!! He's had problems trying to access CPF to post so that's why no report this morning. But all is well so far!! Thank you for checking Carly! We can be a bit waiting for news! Meanwhile-at first I thought this was an adult. It may well be, but I don't recall any adult ever standing in one spot opening their wings like this for 2+ frames before taking off. And at full extension the wings appear longer like a juvie's...just too far away to tell for sure... Awww. I think you caught little Harlie here! So beautiful!

NO word on Harlequin!!! There has to be a better way to communicate. She could be in Nantucket right now!! I know, Donna, I was thinking the same thing. I know there are volunteers watching but no posts or anything I am also wondering why no posts or info coming from Harlie's nest site. I hope by later today, someone from CPF will post on their site.

Kris, I remembered that Joyce had tweeted something about U looked like she was in incubation mode . It was on July 3. reply #5111. If the eggs are viable hatch should be early August maybe around the 6th. Fledge would be in September.
Also everyone, please remember Rochester usually has a mild September and October. The earlieest snow I remember was October 31.
I think our October and Novembers have been mild in recent years. Sometimes even our Decembers aren't all that bad -- or am I just getting used to these upstate winters after all these years ? (Hated them when I first arrived here?) It's usually the Jan-March that are pretty ugly.

Lady Gaga on the mend Windsor Star
Peregrine falcon Lady Gaga was putting some weight on a newly fixed left leg Friday.
"Lady Gaga is actually standing on the leg," Canadian Peregrine Foundation - Windsor Watch site coordinator Dennis Patrick said Friday.
A day after the falcon's 2½-hour surgery, she was doing fine and on her way to a rehabilitation facility in Vaughan near Toronto.
The plan is to have the falcon stay there until the leg is healed enough that she can be released back at the nest site under the Ambassador Bridge.
You go, Lady Gaga! You were born to fly!
