I may be speculating - but it's been awful quiet from the "northern front" lately, and Lou saying six "hopeful" watchers up at KP. Hopeful? It's piqued my curiosity about what's going on up there...what are we "hoping" for?
Hey Margaret. We're all keeping a close eye on Unity's behavior at the scrape at KP. We're speculating about whether there are eggs or not and daydreaming about a Winter Fledge Watch! LOL. YOU would LOVe a Winter Fledge Watch! Can you get closer or will security let you up where you were before to take a closer peek?

Not to change the subject -- but who -- of all of our Roc watchers, are heading to Toronto this weekend to watch our Harlequin fledge? I am so envious of all of you. I know you can't keep us posted by the minute due to international roaming rates, but somehow, can you update the website? I'm sure MAK, Joyce and Carol are heading to Toronto....anyone else? Take lots of good pictures, ladies!

No pictures yet at palemale.com, but there should be soon! YAY!! Yay! YAy! Yay! for Pale Male! His picture is in my classroom! Along with Mariah and Kaver and offspring, and Alex - the amazing African Grey of Dr. Pepperberg. And my own Winnie and Doc-bird! We all can learn so much from our avian friends!

Hi all. Just so you know, that camera has quite serious depth of field issues. Objects are MUCH farther away than they appear! The traffic you're seeing is actually two parking lots away from the building. Granted, there's still a driveway/parking lot underneath Harlequin's perch, but there isn't quite as much traffic in our little family's building. Anyway, just back from fledge watch training and Mark Nash is pretty confident she'll follow the flight paths of her parents, so she'll more than likely be flying at...well...at me! We'll be starting watches on Friday nights and I'm quite excited that I may be able to keep a walkie-talkie at my desk! Can't wait to hear /read your report, Kat! YOU sound so much more confident after hearing Mark Nash talk, and the training! Good for lucky you! So glad you all had the training and Mark is awesome!!!! If any of you have cameras with you also, we would happily look at pictures You all will do super, Kat!!!
