Has anyone thought to contact June @ GVAS I know for a fact that there was a contribution made in 2011 for the Watchers Weekend. Since that didn't happen last year, the funds should still be available.

We were at the Buffalo VA this morning. As we were getting out of the car we noticed a fairly large bird flying over Bailey Ave, landing on the tower in the VA parking lot. It had the distinctive pointy wings, and the flap,flap flap of a juvie. It stayed on the tower for about 10 minutes, then took off after a crow. It was a great start to a very long day.

No Peregrine until Quest had ever mated successfully with a transmitter on. I cant say with 100% certainty but she is very likely the only Peregrine to wear one for 4 years. They are designed to fall off after 2.

I do believe there have been successful mating peregrines with transmitters in the Southern Cross peregrine project http://www.frg.org/SC_PEFA.htm I'm not sure how long their transmitters are designed to last.

I'm not a roofer or carpenter, but I do have a partial roll of felt/tarpaper & some left over shingles to donate. You'd just need to find someone to do the job
