Blackie did get a reprieve. The town of Parma ruled that any and all farm animals are allowed to make noise. They don't have to live on a  "zoned" farm property!

And, are we ALL (retired?) Nurses here???

No I'm a retired telephone employee. In 34 years I only missed 1 day of work because of snow.   I lived in a different telephone territory, so they couldn't send in a truck to pick me up.  They also couldn't count it as an unexcused  absence because my town  closed all the roads 10 minutes before I was going to leave for work.

Is Rudy still around? how's he doing?

Unfortunately, he was stepped on by a horse in the barn where he lived, which broke a leg badly - I saw him with his leg all bandaged up - they spent a bundle on that rooster - but I don't know the latest. 

Poor little guy.  Hope he's struttin' his stuff again.

Thanks for asking Ei.
 She's doing well for her age. Not quite as spy as she used to be, but still very active.  She's developed a dislike for crows... gives her alarm sound whenever she hears them,.. It doesn't help that there's a murder of them in our neighbors trees..She also lets us know when to look for the hawks that come to visit the feeders.
She's learned she only has to stomp on her perch to get our attention,  especially when she wants a treat.
Her antics always make us laugh.

Nice Rooster, But the "bird" didn't fancy him either. lol

and what about birds?   

They're kind of a mixture between cats and dogs. 


A bird lives in your house and sees that you give it food and water and says to itself, "Wow, these beings give me food and water without my having to do anything.  Birds rule!"   

They certainly do Rule the Roost!

Beside worms, wiilling to  eat almost anything you are eating.
Loves dirt barhs, having her head scratched, comb and wattle rubbed, sitting on your lap or perch and watching  TV( not too spoiled).
Makes a great pet, gentle but willing to be feisty if needed.
