But first, what's available at Home Depot for repairing stonework?

I'd look into one of the Gorilla Glue family of epoxy type things  happy

Orville stooped!

He wound up on the ground and was rescued using standard fledge watch techniques -- watchers slowly approaching from front and rear.

Since Orville likes to travel, he might make a good Geocaching Travel Bug like Skye.

Maybe some clever person with connections could cause Orville replicas to be made, and we could donate to Falconcam and get a souvenir Orville  Cool

Kris, I LOVE your signature message.  In fact, I've stolen it to post on Facebook, along with a contrasting one for comparison:

captured by Melanie (snglmel) this morning!

Thanks to Melanie for catching that on video (and thanks Ei for posting here)!  He went right for Orville, picked him up in his talon and brought him out to the perch.  Wonder what he was thinking when he did that.  This is a first.  We may have to rescue Orville!   Shocked

Scientists studying impact of contaminants on fish-eating birds.

Fish-eating birds are not the only ones subject to "wrong" substances in their food:

OK, what would we do if we encountered this beast?  A FIVE INCH CATERPILLAR?

I'd run for cover if I saw one of these.

Atlas moths are said to be named after either the Titan of Greek mythology, or their map-like wing patterns. In Hong Kong the Cantonese name translates as "snake's head moth", referring to apical extension of the forewing, which bears a passing resemblance to a snake's head. They have a 10 inch wingspan. Some bigger!  Shocked

Oh my! Please let us out of towners know if there's anything we can do to help...

Oh, Dear!  My Son and I had a house fire in 1996, and believe me, it is something you never forget.  Hopefully, we can be a part of the support system they will be needing.
Please, all, keep us posted.

Siamese Cat in Rochester!
This cat http://www.petfinder.com/petdetail/23186229
needs a home.  Regardless of the "ethics" of a "rescue" *selling* an animal, (we don't know the whole story), he is a very pretty boy, and needs a nice family to bond with.

Cali was on Feral Stat, a birth control I give her once a week.

Have you been able to get Feral Stat this year?  I had my outside guys on it LAST year, but both phone #s and the website for them were down this year, and I have been unable to locate them.  Do you have current contact info?
Thanks so much!

I wouldn't mind so much if they caught them because they were hungry like Donna's lion or hawk. House cats kill just because they can. That is why my little girl isn't allowed outside. (though she still caught and killed and English sparrow long story)

My own three are 100% indoor cats, although one is from the little outside family I feed.  I see the remains of maybe four to five birds a YEAR around the yard. I purposely don't feed the outside guys a large amount, so that if anything happened to me they wouldn't be left high and dry.  We have many many birds around here, including Mrs. Robin who visits me and plays with the water whenever I am watering plants/trees with the hose.
