When I got to the watch at 7:30am, Bruce had been there for some
time.  Just after lunch, we were joined by the Rochester Four.  It
was great getting insight into Rhea Mae’s upbringing and the goings
on at the Rochester sites.  Shortly after, we were joined by Zoe and
Annie.  Even though there was no fledge this morning, we certainly
had the capacity to deal with one.  There were three feedings and a
lot of running and flapping.  Maybe this afternoon…

Someone was up on the stand pipe earlier, but I didn't have time to post it before coming in to work 

I missed yesterday-family reunion picnic-so I missed a lot (MAK & Joyce-glad you guys are OK)-but thankfully I still get to see all 4 this morning!

Grissom and Rhiannon were the 2 names I submitted in 2004 when asked to name a Kodak falcon. M&K didn't have a daughter named Rhiannon, but now they have a granddaughter that is.

I know why you submitted Grissom...why did you also choose Rhiannon?

As you mentioned, Rhiannon was a Celtic goddess, specifically the Celtic goddess of the Moon. The connection to Grissom becomes obvious once you know that Gus Grissom would have been the first man on the Moon if he had not died in the Apollo 1 fire.

Besides, I was hoping to do some fun ShakyPix that had background music of either Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon or The Who's Who Are You? -- theme song of the television show CSI, starring William Petersen as Gil Grissom.

I never got around to putting a Grissom picture to music, but I did use Rhiannon a year later in my Skye tribute video.
