It is pretty crowded in there, but they'll be up on the perch in no time.

one more question--do they hatch in order of being  laid?  thanks for you time

That's hard to tell.  The first one laid does have a dark spot, so we may be able to tell this time.  Generally it's hard to tell one from the other unless they're marked and in an incubator.

question---is it likely that b's second hatch be as much as 8 days after her first?

They didn't start incubating full time until after the last egg was laid.  This is so they will all hatch close to each other.  In other nests where there has been a long delay between eggs this has been true as well.  But we won't know until they start hatching!

The one labeled Ian Davies (I think)?  The tape fell off her USFWS band before she got to Cape Cod...

And I re-read the article over lunch & did some digging-the fellow quoted about Mom eagle's body is the airport's executive director-not connected to NBG or VDGIF.  Hopefully he was just saying something he heard in passing.

This was just re-posted:

I'm curious to know how Archer's egg brooding compares to his Grandpa Kaver.  I have a feeling there will be a huge discrepancy.

The charts are all still there at Shaky's...

I think we all crashed the site..."The eaglets are in the nest!  They actually made their way up the hill well over an hour ago — but our website traffic has been so high, it’s tough getting in to provide updates and photos!"

Anyway...

Hmmm...can't get into the WCV site...wonder if they're off line to connect the planned webcam?
