Beauty lays her first egg!

Finally got the video uploaded.  It's hard to tell precisely when the egg arrived.  My best guess is right before she sits up higher at 19:31:43 main cam time (2:20 video time).

I just caught a feeding...and it looked like she has three little ones in there!  I thought two was usually the limit for hummers, but perhaps I'm wrong.  Hopefully she's in her prime and the California bugs and nectar are plentiful!

The one with 3 in the nest has a foster baby.  Someone accidentally cut down the branch with the nest & a rehabber took it to this nest since they had tiny ones.  I'll find the FB page in a bit...

OK-the sacrifice thing didn't work...at least I won't miss it!

OK, Beauty, I'm officially announcing I'll be the sacrifice...time to leave work, so you can lay that egg while I'm driving home!

If that vent gets any lower she'll be able to play swiffer!

OK-that was bizarre-I didn't see Archer's white right wing feather 'til just now.  I didn't see any white feathers over his cere either when he was sitting on the platform.  Gave me some serious agita for a moment!

Oh, and all the other watchers here...no, you're not alone sitting here pushing with her!
