Beauty=Black/Green 81/Y silver USFWS band R leg

Lady Pefa= Black/Red (I think) ?/? purple USFWS band
Autumn companion may have had black/black band

No one was home at the time, but it does look like they've started to scrape too!

Yup, she's quite away from Pickering. Not ready to settle yet. Maybe on her way to Niagara!

Or maybe home to Rochester! 

Or maybe back to Prince Edward Point.

But it gave me a thought-perhaps those who are finding it difficult to follow could ask which entries they would like to see in the glossary.  Many of us have been here so long now that we can't see where there could possibly be a question when it's clear as mud for a newcomer.

Archer sure does know how to court Beauty this year...a lot more presents too.  Does that mean he'll be bringing in more food his year...expecting a larger brood?  Pretty soon he'll be digging to Antartica.

The part I'm enjoying is seeing the difference between Mr. T's earnest but immature attempts at courtship.  And Beauty's lukewarm response-but not chasing him just in case. 

Then...THERE"S ARCHER!!!  Headstand bowing...treats at the nest...near constant ee-chupping... dancing in the air...even just watching the still cameras you can feel the excitement!

The 3rd one hatched today!   

We've gotta stop meeting like this, Kris!
