Wow!  You're good Ei!  That picture brings back such nice memories.  Thanks for posting it.

I remembered seeing it when I was looking for a picture of Pride on her rock for the map!

Forgot the picture...

I love that story. I have repeated it several times as an illustration of falcons training their young. I forgot that the second time the pigeon fell into the stadium!!!  I would have loved to see that!

We had visions of a Red Wings fan taking their seat and finding a big surprise!   2funny

I think you got a picture of Grissom on the light pole crying-I seem to recall spotting it while browsing for map pictures.

Found it!

Archer and Beauty visit the nest box.  Brian H reports that Callidora is flying around Time Square bldg.

Wondering where Corn Hill is?

The Corn Hill area is in the Southwestern wedge of downtown Rochester, with the river to the east and I-490 to the north, so it's just a bit south of TS and the jail.  There was an arts festival there this weekend, so C must've been checking out all the crafts and art pieces.  Wink

Thanks!  Shopping for a little extra bling for a special falcon!

Yes it is.  I have no idea where the nest is.

I am really hoping that a lunch or dinner at Dinosaur BBQ can be included somewhere in the weekend...I've been dreaming about that place for two years now!

I think we can manage that-and it's not far from the nest box!

If your cell phone has texting capability,  set it up to follow the watchers on Twitter before you leave home.

You can also ask to use your hotel's business center if it has one. The will be at least one computer in there that has Internet access. You can read the forum from there. Public libraries have free Internet access too. The Rochester downtown library is just across the Genesee River from the Times Square building, and there are library branches in all the suburbs. Check locations and times online.

For myself personally I'm sure I'll be fine.  I was just thinking it might be best to set up a time & place each day for everyone to meet & get an update on who's where etc.

Any suggestions for those of us who will be computerless while in Rochester?

 cellphone

Unfortunately, my cell phone is just a phone.

Be sure to check the Twitter topic before leaving your hotel. This will usually give you a better idea of where the falcons and falcon watchers are located. Then use the Falcon Landmarks map to find that location.

Any suggestions for those of us who will be computerless while in Rochester?

Don't know if I agree with you about the crispness of digital vs film though.

Lou

It might just be me-or my not terribly fancy camera-I'm just not satisfied with anything I've taken in digital B&W.
