Thought this was the Rhea Mae & Tiago thread.........Am I in the wrong place?

Please forgive any irreverence anyone may feel...

It's something I've always noticed about peregrines, but particularly about Beauty.  Ever since I first saw her picture-particularly at a distance-well, I've had a childhood flashback (is there a shudder smiley?)

Imitation crab is the hardest to catch!  Well, good imitation crab is hard to catch.  Bad imitation crab sticks out like a sore thumb.  You can tell by the poor stitching and misspellings on the label.

I got a good bunch it...hoping the competition got complacent!

 



Feathers...fur...it's all the same!

Way cool!  I might just have to borrow it...once you're all your hummingbirds are full!

Is it me or is the quality of the new cameras such that I swear the babies are starting to get feathers!  What's it 10 days since birth?  Little dark spots, I see! 

They are growing fast but I don't think it's true feathers quite yet.  They should be growing in their second down now...gray compared to their natal down.  But we've never been able to see the buds of it before!

And speaking of the excellent cam...Beauty preening!

No names yet.  There is a very long tradition on choosing names-don't have time to hunt the details right now.  Traditionally, they've gotten their names at banding-the date has not been announced yet.

Rhea Mae has them back down by the nest tray now...didn't catch a pic in time...

I thought the camera was stuck...until I realized the shadow moved.  I think they've been traumatized! They need food...they'll feel better then!
