They're being fed well that's for sure!  Beauty needs a bath she has pooh on her tail feathers and I think on top of her right wing.

And on her head...if she's looking for Archer camouflage, she's gotta get those babies to aim better!

I don't know.  For another falcon to get near a nest with eyases is almost unheard of.  The Montreal nest this year is a bit different in that the intruder was a regular at the nest, being the daughter from the prior year.

We've been accustomed for many years to a particular pair with particular habits.  Many at other sites have said M&K's duty roster was actually unusual. 

P.S.  Is there anyone still around here who recalls how M&K shared duties their first year together?  Or how Mariah & Cabot-Sirocco shared duties?  Just curious...

I see there has been some discussion of the sharing of duties so far.  One thing I have learned over my many years of watching this cam is that there is SOOOO much that goes on out of sight and between frames that no assumptions can be made.  Heck, a lot of people have said in the past we'd see X, Y or Z so much better if we had video...and Beauty got egg 3 out of the box without anyone seeing it!  Archer's role is hunting, Beauty's is protecting and feeding.  We have seen exchanges on the "porch" and watchers have seen them in front of the nestbox.    We've been accustomed for many years to a particular pair with particular habits.  Many at other sites have said M&K's duty roster was actually unusual.  Only time will tell how A&B share duties going forward.  The eyases are being fed & are growing like weeds.  As long as that continues to be true there's nothing to worry about.

Over the weekends I vote about once every 5 minutes.  During the week it's tough-I can only get around to it once or twice a day while I'm at work. 

Remember when Kaver used to do the camouflage thing?  Stick a feather on his beak so we'd think it was Mariah!   

Nope, I don't remember.  But then there's lots of things I don't remember!       My first year watching was M&K's last.       I wasn't nearly as observant as I am now.

If I ever get home tonight I'll search my files...I'm sure I have a picture saved!

P.S.-as I was browsing I noticed...she laid some of the prettiest speckled eggs I've ever seen!

That ledge the eyeas  is on looks dangerous.  I'm not familiar with that nest site.  Is it safe, or can they  fall through an opening?   Or am I looking a misleading picture?   Didn't Rhea Mae nest there last year ?   

That ledge is quite safe and good for running back and forth from cam to cam. I love this nest site because of the running room. She sure did nest there last year. Don't worry, they are fine. Wait til banding. 

And not just Rhea Mae & Tiago-this is RM&T's 3rd year (I'm pretty sure), but that ledge has been successfully in use for many years before that.  I know of Wind & Windwhistler for quite a few years...might have been others before that.
