Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Archer's parents

Ei,
I think you are missing your calling...peregrine geneology. How fantastic would it be to be able to have a program that could spit out the ansestry of all the peregrines at one nestsite and then see them linked elsewhere.
You are so good at all these facts, would you be interested in putting together a more expansive chart of the Rochester Falcons? I know we have the family tree under History, but it would be nice to see the Legacy being carried on by the offspring.
This year we will have to start a new family tree...we have an egg..now we wait for an eyas.
Joyce
No one can compare to Juanita at CMNH for peregrine geneology! Funny you should say that...I have actually been working on one since last year-and just did a bunch of updating...that's why a lot of the factoids are popping into my head. I'm just not happy with the format yet. I've been using a free program, but I need to upgrade-the full version allows real pictures in the boxes and more report options...this is one section...

All is well, christiane...and welcome! You'll find your way around here in no time! I did notice that Beauty still has some dinner on her right lower beak...I was going to joke earlier she forgot her napkin, but got distracted. You can see it's her beak here... Archer took a turn on the egg earlier...he was on & off for about an hour or so around 2:30

Thanks, Ei. I've always thought Millie was his mother.
Archer does have an older sister named Millie. Millie & Ellie were hatched in 2005. That Millie is the one who was nesting on a crane (or some other big equipment) in Oregon, OH 2007-both eyases fell out of the nest but were fine in the end. She moved to Michigan the following year...I don't think we had any more news after that... I thought I had heard that Millie's 2nd mate was Beauty's uncle? Yup... "Millie’s new mate is Leopold, who is now 14 years old and has been at this nest since 1997. It was reported last year that he had flown into a wire and had been euthanized, but this turned out not to be the case. I believe that the falcon involved was Leopold’s long-time mate, Raynie. Millie’s former mate is/was Swifty, a son of Freedom and Roosevelt at the Fort Wayne nest. Leopold is a brother of Erie, the former mate of Dorothy at the Pittsburgh Cathedral of Learning nest." Erie being Beauty's father...the full Imprints story

So Shaky...did you do something different to the archive functionality since yesterday? I'd been having a bear of a time running "movies" of the main cam-almost impossible at work, slow even at home. Today they're moving along like the old lower resolution main cam...maybe even quicker. And I noticed "picture not found" on the embedded version now matches the rfalconcam blue. Thanks to you and everyone else involved in the site for keeping at it to make it better & better!

Thanks Carol...even from a distance I suspect you would have had a gut feeling if it was Mariah.
I know you're all still watching for Mariah...just hard to keep saying "looked for her but didn't see her" I'm sure.

YIKES, Lou! Ya think my relationship with Rhea Mae would qualify me for crossing the border permanently? I refuse to not respond on the basis that my response may incriminate me. (I need an emoticon that has a yellow blobhead figure with a zippered lip.) Also, I've been a member too long to not know that we don't really get into political banter on the falcon board. Hah! Lou PS Where's my tea? [/quote] I think the one you're looking for is this one And that's all I'll say on the subject... :
