I thought someone had said the other interior cam (is that the original Aafke cam?) was broken & not repairable?
The other camera is not the old Aafke cam. It's the same camera that was in that location in the Times Square nest box last year. Aafke cam is the camera in the Powers nest box that was just taken offline. (It might be back at a later date.) Thanks Shaky...it looks similar from the main cam view. And, yes, I saw your other post...can't slip much past us!

Oops never mind - I see what's up. Switching camera feeds around. Got it.
Nope-not imagining things-though I thought someone had said the other interior cam (is that the original Aafke cam?) was broken & not repairable? Looks to be working OK now!

Is there a site out there where I could enter band colors and numbers to help identify falcons, or any other banded bird? Just asking. Thanks!!
Morning Guru, I know there is a database of band #'s from the mid-west, not sure what the URL is. Maybe someone could post it? It's sometimes hard to track down a band #, since there is no universal list. I know I have it in my research folder at home-but it's only mid-west peregrines. The other site is the Patuxent bird banding lab (again, link at home)...but you have to send in a band # and wait for a response. A few other state sites list the bands used in a given year in their annual peregrine report, but it's spotty.

If you think it's cluttered now, you should have seen my first draft! The width is fixed at 800 pixels for several reasons, one of them being that the most popular smart phones like the iPhone, Droid, and Google Nexus One have an 800 pixel wide display. I'm sure the first draft would make one fine Shaky pic! OK...that makes sense, since one of the neatest things about the site is being able to communicate from home & the field!

Just spotted this over on the CPF site
!!! 3 EGGS! March 28, 2010 - Toronto - Sheraton Centre Linda Woods Reports:
An extended visit to the Sheraton nest ledge confirmed the band numbers of the adults, Black on Black, 29 over H, for Tiago and Black on Red, P over T, for Rhea Mae.
And long after my camera battery gave out on the “stand-by” mode, Tiago finally moved off the eggs to reveal 3 eggs. Rhea Mae was quick to return to her time incubating. Tiago didn’t waste anytime leaving the nest ledge. Just like his dad. Posted on March 28, 2010 4:41 pm Observation for Toronto - Sheraton Centre
Does anyone here know Tiago's ancestry? It seems he's a local by Linda's comment.

Wesley hatched this afternoon! What's with all the male names Max, Pattison, Austin and now Wesley. ??? Molly has her wings full!
It's funny...you can't tell male/female names anymore...the only person I know named Austin is a girl! And there was another odd one...can't recall right now...but at work there was a guy & a gal in the same dept with the same odd name...I don't get some of the names-or weird spelling of regular names...
