I’m on the 10th floor of the Times Square Building and my office faces east, so I have a great view of their comings and goings. Yesterday I got to my office at around 9:00 and there was quite a bit of activity for the following few hours; I saw a group of watchers on the Broad Street bridge. Today they’ve been flying in and out, making quite a racket. Right now they’re sitting on Mercury, one on the head the other at the base.

When they fly to the next box they always seem to zoom right by my windows. Once in a while it looks as if they’re headed straight at me, then veer up at the last second, giving me a great show. Other times I see them carrying in a meal. Hard to believe they can fly while holding a pigeon.

I missed the 12:20 visit...work getting in the way of real life...Archer's dug in pretty well here too!

After a 5 minute falcon visit (Main Camera) shortly after noon, it appears that there is the beginning of a scrape.  Compare Camera 2 at 12:04 with Camera 2 at 12:34 and after.  Falcon back at 12:50.
Sorry, I can't distinguish them yet. . .

It could be either of them scraping, but I thought to check the pebbles when I saw Archer with his feet dug in pretty well here...

He is a QTP2T for sure!  I see the white spot on his right wing is back.  ???

We'll be able to see that feather better this year...I have a feeling it may be a white feather

That's less than 30 minutes from my house and I have searched from both sides of the river and cannot find the nestbox.  New walkway over the hudson on an old railroad trestle this year...maybe I'll finally have luck from falcon level!

Just stopped in to see if there were any Archer pics (thanks Carol-went to bed before they were posted) and of course I had to check the Sheraton...and there's Rhea Mae!

...is live for the season!  No eggs yet, but Mme owl has spent 3 days in the nest box!

[I loved the Discovery Channel series from a year or two ago called Planet Earth. I've seen 5 promos for this new series, though, and am afraid to watch it because it sounds like it's going to be mostly animals killing other animals. I'm with you Dot...watching big cats catch dinner is not my cup of tea...I hear the next episodes will have less of that.

I am so excited that Archer has returned.  If all turns out well and we have babes this year, the M&K Legacy will continue.  These will be Mariah and Kaver's great grandkids.  How wonderful is that.  

They're acting like young kids in love.  They are never far from each other, always within sight of each other.  When one flies, they both fly, following each other around.  I saw one copulation on old Changing Scenes Restaurant and Brian said he saw them fly out to the Kodak Tower and do the same there.

Lots of pictures to go through.  It's a happy day here in Rochester.

Looks like Beauty may have brought in the prey.  Did she catch the woodcock, or did Archer give it to her in midair?

Either way, the Watchers downtown must have gotten quite a show!  Hope all those camera batteries are well charged.
