Rhea Mae is at home...

I don't know if anyone else has posted about this, but I just checked Quest's weekly map and the most current reading has her in Ontario west of Buffalo.  I thought she might head east to Massachusetts where she spent last winter but she apparently has other ideas this year.

it was Raptor Force.....gotta love them peregrines and Harpy Eagles, they are amazing. Whaddashow!! 

I finally figured it out once I went back inside...I was flipping channels and heard kacking, saw a guy with his head in a nestbox talking about Belinda & wanted to post real quick so no one around here would miss it!

Don't even know what show it is...NYC area WNET...Female's named Belinda...back to watching

The one in front looks like a female cardinal to me.  The one on the right...the head doesn't look right, but the wing color & pattern looks like a woodpecker.  The one on the left...best I can tell it's an LBJ 

Unfortunately I didn't get to ride the horse...just passed them on my walk.

Our vet recommend Purina One Special Care for the cats over the more expensive Science Diet.  It gets some good consumer reviews http://www.buzzillions.com/reviews/one-purina-special-care-urinary-tract-health-formula-cat-food-reviews and the cats like it.  I know that the corn and grain based pet foods available in the grocery stores get a bad rap, but at this point, we're more inclined to trust the well known Purina brand over the possibly problematic Diamond.

My guys have only eaten dry food since forever.  I had a hard time finding something that Nub (a diabetic Manx) could eat without clogging up his bladder after Agway and their low magnesium cat food left town.  He did well on Science Diet until the end-he was 19.  After that I really didn't think about it much because I had girls until I got Chewbacca.  He started forming crystals as soon as he got off the kitten food.  I've been feeding them the purina special care urinary health ever since and he's been fine.  It works for us.

Took a walk today on a rail trail I pass every day.  Most of it is right alongside the main north-south road, Rte. 209.  The light was lousy, but I did see a few things...
