I tried that, but they are smileys that are on another forum.  If I "copy shortcut", it doesn’t link to anything.  I saved the pictures, but there is no movement, and I don’t know where to find them on the web.

Attached is a doc file with the smiley pics I like.

I have a few like that too, from the IWS Eagle forum...no idea where they came from and no clue what the code is...

Monday, August 31
For those that did not know, yesterday was Xi Lan’s first birthday. For the special occasion he was provided with a multilayer colorful ice cake (with sweet potato frozen inside) and papier-mâchĂ© balloons. We gave him about 10 minutes alone with his treats before we let Lun Lun in and he used his time wisely. He climbed on the cake and tried to eat parts of it and really examined it from every angle.  Then he approached his balloons with caution from the climbing structure. But, once he reached them, he had no fear and inspected each one carefully. He then decided he would take a short nap. But, as soon as Lun Lun was let in, he decided to go back after his goodies. Then, in an effort to protect his cake from Lun Lun, he carried each layer of his cake one piece at a time up the climbing structure, chewed on it for a bit, dropped it, and went back for the next layer. After all the adventures, he slept for the rest of the day!

Happy Birthday Xi Lan!

Wow!  I can't believe it's a year already!  Remember the night he got so sick?  I know a lot of us were watching when it happened-seemed like a century until they let us know he would be OK.  And look at him now!  wub2

A clear view of the 3 eggs. I almost thought 4-the one on the right seems to have a dark streak made it look like one behind the other. The 3rd one is just peeking up behind the front board.

Sheila giving them a nice roll!

Yesterday I saw a new kind of bird in my garden.
It's a Goldfinch, but not the American Goldfinch, (Carduelis tristis) it's family (Carduelis carduelis)

I'm very happy to see a new kind of bird in my garden, I saw him before but not in my garden.
He was eating from the seeds of the cosmea.
This one has no red on his head, it's a juvenile.
He is pretty!  American goldfinches love Cosmos seeds too...I'm always amazed that they can perch on them without the stems falling over.

OMG!!!  Precious baby!  I went to the national zoo in washington specifically to see Tai Shan!  He was a year old but he was so adorable.  His mom was so tired!  No wonder, he was always on her back!   heart
Funny-i did the same thing!  I had a family reunion in the mountains of Virginia, but I took the long way around to stop in DC to see Tai Shan...spent the whole day just hanging out with the pandas.  Climbing on Mom was always his favorite pastime. panda

A couple of pics I took...it was about a week after his 1st birthday.

Sheila laid her first egg last year on Fri Aug 29. This year it was Fri Aug 28....right on cue. Her second egg was on Aug 31 last year....well, she beat that by laying 2 more before that, if we are correct Ei.  ???
If there are 3, I think the first one was hiding -the camera angle is very low this year-and the first one we saw was actually #2.  I sent them an email, so we'll see if they have any comments.

I captured a couple pictures of the happy couple this morning and am going to try and post them on here.  My fingers are crossed in hopes that it works!  stupid

Shaky-a question from the comments section on falconwatch...any reason you can think of that Alison can't see the attached pictures in the original post?

I think Sheila & Havoc may have laid an egg!  Looks like one peeking up at the front of the box...
