 Get ready for the eclipse of the supermoon! This Sunday evening, the United States and much of the world will see skies graced by a bright, big moon that will then be cloaked in a total lunar eclipse. And you can watch the event live on explore!

A supermoon occurs when the moon is both full and the closest to the earth all year, which makes it appear 14% larger and 30% brighter in the night sky. Then, in an even more rare and spectacular phenomenon, the earth will stand between it and the sun, casting its shadow on the lunar surface - the first time a supermoon has been eclipsed in 30 years.

Check out our Lake Tahoe Cam before 7:11 pm PT, when the moon will look massive and begin taking on a reddish tint. The total eclipse will last over an hour.

Looks like Sandy lost her red tape. Interesting that she is hanging around Toronto wildlife area. Another juvie looking for an easy meal?  Well, she looks healthy. Pretty girl!

I wonder if the banders pulled it off to read/record her USFWS band. Pretty sure she still had a few weeks ago when she was seen.

It could just be me - but only 3 or 4 posts came through from yesterday, which seems odd. Anyway - just checking. Maybe nothin's up!

Could just be quiet. I know MAK had an appt. yesterday so...

I am leaving tomorrow for Varsovie where I will see the Palais de la Culture ( falcon cam) and also in Estonie where there are many  others  cams ( osprey, eagle, bittern, buzzard, deer etc...)
