An undisclosed location not far from where he is now calling home.

As far as anyone knows he is not related to anyone we know.

This past week has been odd for the pair down at 18 King Street East as the level of activity that we have been watching had slowly been reduced to nothing.  At the beginning of the week, we would see Erin or Stormin briefly on the ledge but they stayed off camera more than on.  Linda Woods was keeping an eye out for them and activity was quite rare.  By mid week, they had dropped off camera altogether and Linda was not seeing them at all in the territory on any of the usual perches and buildings.  Even local residents were wondering where the falcons had gone and why they suddenly became so quiet.  Late in the day Thursday the pair finally made their first on camera appearance in days and with that I decided to go down yesterday and spend some time at the site trying to determine what was going on and confirm identities of the adults.

While they may be behind schedule, it looks like Erin and Stormin are on track for possible eggs in the coming weeks.  They are both looking amazing and are working very hard towards having a family in 2015.  We look forward to more from this pair throughout spring and the possibility of young.

Thanks for keeping watch! I knew she was due but I was getting anxious watching her being on & off the first egg so I had to shut it down LOL!

I just spoke to MAK's sister-in-law.  In addition to what Donna shared, MAK was not back in her room as of 2:30pm.  Her doctor says she has to be up and moving right away at least three walks a day around the station. No rest for her.  Her sis-in-law said she would hang a bird in front of her if that would help.  That made me think...I still have Baron von Pefa on my fridge. Think I'll try that when I visit. LOL

Glad to hear she's coming along. I have my Baron von Pefa in my car...he rides with me everywhere!

I didn't get a call yet but Jeanne called Unity Hosp. and MAK is in recovery. I will post more when I hear from her sister in law. At least it's over! Thanks Jeanne.

Well, this one is on my way to work...so an extension of my backyard

There have been Bald Eagles frequenting an area along the road I take into work since the fall. I spotted what looked to be a large nest in January. I saw a white head in the nest today and stopped to get a better look and a couple of pictures. This is the best I could do getting a picture of the nest.

 

I did see a nest exchange through the binoculars. This is I believe the female returning to the nest and the male perched after leaving the nest.

 

I'd love to look at them, Ei, but they're appearing very tiny, like thumbnails. 

That's weird. I'll have to look at that when I get home tonight. Flickr may have changed something again
