If it weren't for the size I wouldn't know which was the injured baby.

We do what we can, Shaky...we do what we can

I have no complaints with those who take an active part in the fledge watch. The handful using Ustream's Social Stream are making a difference. It's the other 90% on Ustream who watch and can't be bothered to contribute that I have a problem with. Apparently watching an injured 7-week-old bird is just another form of entertainment to them, and typing a response would interrupt the shoveling of popcorn into their hungry mouths.

I will say, for the most part, those of the 90% I interact with on Ustream are really new to this and a lot of time is spent on education. But they are learning and contributing more. My first year on Kfalconcam I didn't say a word. But once I knew enough to put in my 2 cents and how to do it...well, can't shut me up now, can you? Wink

The end of a good 5 minute flap practice session from the south corner to the bump and back to the perch. The wing is still wonky, but he was able to extend it more than before. And hold it out for longer than before. And he's holding it relatively even with the right wing. And all of this was in a gusty breeze.

Baby steps...
As you said, the wing's still wonky, but that is the best I've seen it since before the accident.  Thanks for posting, Ei. And thanks to all who have been monitoring Nor'e today on the cams and on the street. I am home cleaning house and preparing to entertain 10+ out of town guests next Friday before we leave next weekend for a big family reunion week in the Adirondacks. Thanks for keeping watch and doing what you can to keep our falcon family safe.  I will join the watch when I can.

It's all about teamwork!  handshake
