...on the Rfalconcam embedded streaming page? Ustream has made some changes that have disabled the embedded social stream in some browsers. One option is to open a resizable pop-up window with the Social Stream from that page. -Click on chat (red arrow) and you'll get a pop-up window (blue arrow). Resize the window to still see the streaming cameras & chat away! You can also go to the rfalconcam page on ustream directly, but social stream is only available on channel 1

Rochester Falcons / Rochester Falcon Discussion / Re: Banding & Naming Questions

I've read the FAQs about how to tell Beauty and Archer apart and how to tell Beauty and Dot.ca apart. On both it says that Beauty has a green and black band on her left leg and that the males have all black bands. Is this is always the case -- females get green/black bands and males get all black bands. I've noticed at least two of the eyas have green/black bands so wonder if that means those are female.
The difference is where they hatched. Archer & Dot.ca were both hatched in Canada which uses black/black vid bands. Black/green is eastern US. Black/red is Midwest US. California also uses black/black. Addendum...Black/red was used in the east at one time. The usfws band on the other leg is silver in eastern US & Canada. It's purple in the Midwest.

P.S....Does anyone have the band numbers/tape colors?
Rhea Mae & Tiago 605 grams male - 21 days old named Trout 550 grams male - 20 Days old named Buzz 640 grams male - 18 days old named Oliver 600 grams male - 21 days old named Raulphie
Which of these is the little fluffy one, Ei? One would reckon the lightest - Buzz - but he's older than Oliver... who's the heaviest. So, as one might say: "What's the buzz?" SUCH a big difference! Reasons obviously include amount of food... but what else? Just age. It has to be Oliver...3 days younger than the eldest 2. He probably has more feathers than we can see under the fluff and the fluff will depart in short order. As the feathers grow the fluff is displaced but sticks to the feathers. But as the heaviest but youngest it wouldn't surprise me if Oliver turns out to really be Olivia. And females usually lag behind the males.
