Do we have another Baby Blue Foot?  Not exactly blue-more pink-but not quite yellow either...

I found rooms at the Rochester Plaza & Hyatt. Only the Radisson was sold out. Kayak found rooms at the suburban ones too.

Jehovah's Witness conventions again.

JW convention on weekend of July 18-20.

Actually their website shows 07/04, 07/18, 07/25. Probably some carryover between weeks.

Besides the Corn Hill Festival there must be a big something going on there!  Hotels are mostly sold out the weekend of 7/11-13!

Is it just the downtown hotels, or are the suburban ones mostly sold out too?

This is the first I've spent any significant time with Skye...WOW he looks just like his brother!

The 1st one had a 98 or something 8, this is an 11!! They don't care if it's banded, it's food. It might bother us!

I suspect we're seeing the other side of the band. There was a lot of meat left on the last one. This one is picked clean.

Poor Dot! He does try, but he needs to be just a bit bigger.  And no parent (human or bird)  "babysits" his or her own kids.  Smiley

Funny...growing up whenever the Dad was home alone with the youngsters the Mom would say he was babysitting.  Regional differences I guess Wink

Funny..the commentary on the livestream about Dot having trouble corralling them...

First thing I do when I get home is run through the day in the Quick-N-Dirty 30 to record shift changes & feedings through the day. These are 2 panes from today. You don't even have to zoom in to the full photo to tell when Dot takes over babysitting and when Beauty gets back LOL!

!!! Scarborough Milner Nest site - Hatch Confirmed!!
May 20, 2014 - Scarborough - Yellow Pages
Mark Nash Reports:

May 20th - 2014
Great news today as my visit was well timed! Two hatchlings confirmed at the Yellow pages & Petra nest site on Milner Ave., in Scarborough.
Sadly, due to the rain, and knowing that Linn would be very aggressive, I only brought my camera phone with me expecting that my visit wold be very short, so the photos are not the best. (Although, the purpose of our visit is not for a photo shoot, but to document and confirm a hatch so that banding can be arranged with the MNR and building management and the site can be managed appropriately).

Both Rueben and Linn were on site and strongly suggested that I not hang around, which I was more than happy to oblige them.
Stay tuned for more updates………

Later is better.   Last year was too early.  They had only just fledged and there wasn't much action yet.  Would love to see flight lessons & food exchanges!

Last year they hatched a week later so it was around 7 weeks old. It's early so check my math but 7/12 & 7/13 should be 8 weeks old.

So now that the 4 little darlings have hatched we should probably start thinking about Watchers Weekend.

They will likely be flying by the end of June. So one week later, which is 7/5 & 7/6? Or the following week 7/12 & 7/13? Or???

I think 7/12 & 7/13 is Corn Hill weekend. That didn't interfere last year. Just food for thought.

So what do you all think?
