I was part of the 2012 RIT Big Shot at Seabreeze Amusement Park in Irondequoit, and it was a lot of fun!  Over a fifteen hundred people participated, wearing black from head to toe and illuminating the subject with flashlights.  Only the people instructed to wear colors actually appear in the photograph. Seabreeze was in May instead of February.  I guess if I go this time I'll have to wear my black parka, and I hope they don't make me stand on the bridge or the observation deck in the dark!  The Seabreeze Big Shot can be seen at http://bigshot.cias.rit.edu/big-shot-number-27/.

I was thinking they're trying to override the ad blockers, but I had this on my kindle earlier too.

That might be it...no ad blockers on IE and the regular screen came up.

Edit: the regular screen is up now in firefox with ad block on. Will keep an eye on it...and I can't log in to the social stream now...same screen on the log in pop up. weird

He leaves for a few weeks but not on a migrate. He just goes! 

Quest is usually scarce in her usual haunts for a few weeks too.

I wonder what they did to her in rehab that they decided she could be released-behavior modification???

I think they're trying WAY far away release hoping she won't head for Buffalo. Or will find a place to her liking before she finds her way back.

Mariah & Beauty were both released at Montezuma which is barely any distance at all.

I wonder about migration.  Kendal does migrate and unless he is released at 1000%, he could perish during migration.  I hope the Wildlife center takes that in consideration.  He could make a late migration and be stronger for the extra time at rehab. Or if someone is flying south a bit later, they could release him further south... maybe even a car ride south....it won't be the first time.....

I didn't think Kendal migrated.

I don't believe he does either.

Wonderful!  I have a link saved to favorites that is a Ustream link that is saying off line.  Is this cam back up?  I enjoy the Southern Hemisphere cams in our "off season".  Any sugestions of other South cams?  Thanks as always!

I believe the homeowner stopped the live streaming last year. We were able to follow Emily on Facebook.

There are others in Australia but my off season list seems to have been "cleaned" to a place I can't find right now 

I think we can consider    Ranger and  Hunter a super couple as they have stayed together despite not reproducing. 

Ranger's parents are M&K, so I'm not surprised....

We don't think so. One of my off season projects is to look carefully at the lineage. We have a theory Madame X may be the one passing along a blue/pale footed gene. Dot.ca has Madame X somewhere in his lineage...I can't recall the details right now. Might be his father Jack is the son of an offspring of Madame X & a prior mate. Stay tuned.

I just heard news from Rob that the female we believe to be Alfrieda is still active around the Mississauga North buildings with a male yet to be identified.  While on lunch break, Rob took a peak to see if they were there and the pair came bombing in with much chit chat.  They definately seem to be courting and beginning to bond!  We will be working hard to discover who the male is and confirm without a doubt that this female is Alfrieda.  Don’t touch that dial there is so much more to come!!

It was so great to see the pair active around Mount Sinai and we enjoyed watching the dynamics between the pair.

Here are a few more photos of the two of them.  I don’t often have them down so low that I can get anything reasonably good so I was pleased to have this opportunity.  They are both so gorgeous.  It was difficult in the low light to get great shots but I hope you enjoy seeing the pair pictured here.
