Speaking of eyes, there's something I've always wondered about.

Do falcons ever blink? Do they ever even close their eyes? I've never seen either. Do they possibly have a third eyelid membrane like cats do?

They have a nictating membrane that closes from the bottom

and I've seeing Beauty blink at night with it-the night lights on the stream making it very visible because it's very quick.
I've read that there's another thinner membrane that crosses from front to back when they're stooping. I don't have a picture of it handy.
They don't actually close their eye-just the inner lids
